My favorite episode yet is the next one (episode 3) and I hope that everyone else really likes it as well. It seems like Episode 2 is always harder to write, but I'm glad you liked it. You snuck your post in as I was responding to another :) I really liked it, but I wished Wanda hadn't gone... Oh well! I'm really getting into it and I'm really enjoying how you write it. And the new font is better, by the way... I figured people would feel that way. I wish I could've had her stay, but someone had to go. I think if this happened in reality, Wanda would still be content and just thankful to have the experience. Compared to a negative first boot, I wanted to have a more positive second one. I'm glad you are getting into it! The more I write, the more I get into it too. I keep visualizing the end in my head, so I'm pushing hard to get there. I agree that the new text style is a little better. The one-on-one dialogue is much easier to read. I'll probably end up keeping this format. Clues: Tina, Tikei suffers, still Misty and Ashley, Leslie. All of those are great predictions. We'll see if any come true next week! I'll try to post edgic and other comments later when I have more time... and I will be probably commenting on episode three very late next week (Friday/Saturday). But this episode was good! If you have the time, please fill out the survey below. If you don't have the time to fill out all of it, just type up a few words saying that you read the episode and what you thought of it in general. Any comments are appreciated, no matter the size. What did you think of the episode overall? Great job! I would have to say that I liked this one a little bit more than the premiere. I have a ton of random comments that I wrote out during the episode and I'm going to type them all out below: RECAP: - Wanda gets a confessional about "going all the way." Either it's ironic and she's voted out very soon or she could be one to pay attention to. - Dave/Ashley mentioned = they're important characters who go far together - Misty's confessional reinforced: staying calm is key to the game = Misty will go far as well - Erica talks about TC, Misty's comments bode well for her, she's staying on Erica's good side - Jeff: "Fire was key" = important quote? - Reward Challenge starts very early in the episode. That's realistic to what the newer seasons are like. Not much happened before the Reward Challenge though, but that's pretty typical of most episodes too. - Jeff and Dave continue to narrate for Tikei - they're important characters - I liked the Reward Challenge, but I think 20 was too many points for them to have to score even though the challenge went quick and you didn't show everyone going - So you deliberately showed that Ashley missed all of her other shots, so we would not think she would make the winning shot. I expected her to win it for her tribe (not that that's bad though) - I liked the Tina "coconut moment" during the challenge - Misty & Brook seem to have a connection (I notice that she said "sorry" directly to him after losing the challenge) - Kidnapping should not be a shock to them since this is Second Chance and they know exactly what happened in China, why are they all acting so surprised? - Clearly, Ashley is a big player, but I wonder if she's a little too big of a player - Brian's onto Ashley, still his strategic self despite an UTR start - I'm sensing a possible Dave/Jeff rivalry at some point in the story, or possibly one of them will try to take the other one out - I really liked James' confessional about Leslie, but I would like to see some italicized words in there to show his accent and the way he stresses things - Leslie: good that she realized aligning with the women would be a smart move, it's really her best option right now, but I could actually see her becoming a swing vote between the men and the women in the near future (although maybe not since the guys apparently want her gone) - Jeff getting extra fish? He definitely played that right with his answer, and once again we get a reaction from Brian who's watching what's going on - I honestly forgot about Anthony until now: oversleeping, lazy = not a good thing right now - I'm guessing Wanda and Anthony are the two targets, this tribe definitely loses Immunity - Anthony needed a better answer than just "No" about getting water - Aaron/Brook as a possible alliance / pair - Ashley is a little too obvious about wanting the clue, but of course she still gets it, I can tell she's going to be around for a while, I wouldn't be surprised if she finds the idol too - I think the end of the clue conversation where Misty says "Well, good luck finding it," and Ashley says "Thanks" could have been worded a bit better, that seems a little out of place from everything else for some reason - The Immunity Challenge: okay, Anthony and Brian would have been out a long time ago in a challenge with that kind of strength. Ashley and Tina are both physically stronger than them, especially in terms of carrying things on their backs (I'm sure Ashley lifts opponents up in wrestling, and Tina has to carry heavy saws and things like that). If both of them just agreed to drop out and let the guys stay, that was not smart of them at all. They needed to speak up right there and say that Brian and Anthony should have been out better them. I'm not saying either guy is weak, but in that type of challenge, it wouldn't be their strong suit. - Angie's Ulong curse is broken = positive? - Then Tina says that Anthony is the weakest? Apparently not when he lasted that long in the IC (I don't think he really would though) - So it's looking like it is between Anthony and Wanda, I think I predicted that last week but I can't recall - Tracy gets the head vs. heart quote: because she's a strategic player who's supposed to be good at the game, I'll guess that she guess with her head and votes out Wanda, although her concerns about the older people going are definitely something to keep in mind and could come true - Brian campaigning for Wanda to go, that's expected from him - I liked Anthony's answer at TC - Rare that everyone gets one TCQ, but good that you were able to talk to all 8 people - Wanda's final comments and her "Go get 'em" was a little too reminiscent of Sonja in Borneo, which is why I've avoided using any variation of that phrase since it's so memorable to Sonja Alright, so those are all of my comments. I know some of them are about minor details and that you can't reply to most of them, but I just figured I'd put all of my thoughts down anyway. Looking forward to Episode 3... Who will be the Sole Survivor? At this point, I'd be a little surprised if it wasn't one of the following: Jeff, Dave, Ashley, Tracy, Aaron, Misty, Brook, possibly Angie That list may change in a few episodes, but those are the people that I've pretty much narrowed it down to. Misty and Ashley might be the top two contenders right now. Who will be voted out next? This time, it's a lot harder to predict. If Tikei loses again, I would see the boot being between Tina/Tracy and Anthony, and probably some of the younger ones will turn on Anthony and vote him out (possibly Ashley and Jeff). On the other tribe, either Leslie will go for not fitting in, or she'll become a swing vote and that vote might be between James and Erica. Any other predictions (or responses to the clues)? One survivor feels the loss of another after an emotional tribal council. Tina feeling sad about Wanda being voted out. As part of a reward, one tribe wins an item that helps them live through a massive thunderstorm, while the other tribe suffers miserably. I'll guess that Rapa suffers miserably once again. After being kidnapped, one survivor makes a deal to share the clues to the hidden immunity idol. It really could be anyone, but I'll take a guess that Brook is kidnapped since he seems like the type who would be strategic about it. One survivor is blamed for the tribe's loss at an immunity challenge, and becomes even more vulnerable at tribal council. When you say "even more vulnerable," it sounds like they were already vulnerable to begin with, so Anthony and Leslie seem like the most obvious choices for this. It really could be either one of them that would lose a challenge for their tribe. I wish I could comment on all of your notes, but as you have figured out, most would be spoilerish. I'll try to get to the ones that I can address without spoiling later events. Reward Challenge starts very early in the episode. That's realistic to what the newer seasons are like. Not much happened before the Reward Challenge though, but that's pretty typical of most episodes too More of the episode I knew would play out after the reward, so I decided to make that early, with just a quick little update from each tribe. Kidnapping should not be a shock to them since this is Second Chance and they know exactly what happened in China, why are they all acting so surprised? It wasn't so much the surprise of a kidnapping, just a surprise of a twist overall. I may have made that more dramatic than it should have been. I really liked James' confessional about Leslie, but I would like to see some italicized words in there to show his accent and the way he stresses things I'll make sure to do this in the future. I sometimes write sentences meant to have italics, then I forget to go back. The Immunity Challenge... To get too deep into this, I would be spoiling later events a little, so I can't comment too much. But I agree with you about what you said. However, I think Brian could've handled it. He would have the endurance to at least be at the same level as Tina and Ashley. Anthony probably should've been out earlier, though. For some reason, I could see a possible Brook/Misty relationship (especially on how Misty was edited in Exile Island)... which would spell the end for both of their games... but I'm probably way off... Random note: my guess for the merged buff is orange. Anthony will go very soon, because of being INV1 in the first episode and mostly protrayed as negative this episode. I'd be surprised if he made the merger. (Though this is probably obvious.) Ashley got a heck of a lot of screen time... I understand she deserves it with her getting the clue, but she'll probably go really far, but not win (3rd place). Though edgic is new to me, isn't she not getting the winner's edit? note: I'm going to change my pick to win to be Dave if that's okay with you... Leslie probably won't make it through the next tribal council because of when she voted against the girls, I don't think the girls would want to trust her... Aaron - CONFESSIONAL: It's day four, and we still don't have fire. I think we've all had several attempts at making it, but nothing has worked so far. Jeff Probst: <narrating> At the reward challenges, they were given a chance to obtain flint… Jeff Probst: Rapa, because you do not yet have fire, you will be playing for flint as well. <James is shown nodding his head.> Jeff Probst: <narrating> But were unsuccessful. Jeff Probst: Tikei wins reward! <Tikei is shown cheering as Ashley comes running into the huddle.> Jeff Probst: <narrating> Tikei received further news after their victory… Jeff Probst: Tikei, with winning the reward, you also won the right…to kidnap one person from the other tribe. <Tikei is shown huddling together before the camera switches to a nervous Rapa tribe, then goes back to Tikei who is looking at Jeff.> Tracy: We're going to kidnap Misty. Jeff Probst: <narrating> And Misty was to join their tribe until the next immunity challenge. Jeff Probst: They will also be given <Jeff pulls out a small bottle with a message inside and also a tied scroll.> this bottle and this scroll. When they arrive at your camp, they must find a secret spot and read the scroll in private. Further instructions will then be provided. Jeff Probst: <narrating> When Misty arrived at Tikei, she discovered what was inside the bottle. Misty: Because you have been kidnapped, you now have an important to job to do during your stay. Inside this bottle is a clue to the whereabouts of a hidden immunity idol. Misty: Surprise, surprise. Misty: However, it is not for you to have. You must give this bottle to someone from the other tribe, giving them a clue to help them find the idol. Jeff Probst: <narrating> With a choice to make, Misty chose to give the clue to Ashley. Ashley: You have no idea how much this means to me. I will totally pay you back. Ashley - CONFESSIONAL: I am so excited that Misty gave me the clue to the hidden immunity idol. I hope that it's somewhat easy to decipher, because I would really like to find that idol. Jeff Probst: <narrating> Back at Rapa, after two devastating losses in a row, Aaron and Brook found food for the tribe, and things started to look up. Aaron: Look what we found! Leslie: Oh my gosh! Angie: Food! James: Finally somethin' other than those coconuts! James - CONFESSIONAL: I've never been more excited over some bananas in my life! Jeff Probst: <narrating> Meanwhile, at Tikei, Misty was taking notes. Misty - CONFESSIONAL: Ever since I got here, I've been taking note of everything that's going on. I know when I get back to my tribe, they'll want to know what it's like over here, so I'm going to go back with as much information as I can possibly get. Jeff Probst: <narrating> At the next immunity challenge, Rapa finally pulled off their first victory… Jeff Probst: With that, Rapa wins immunity! <Erica, Leslie, Misty, and Angie are shown cheering from the bench. A few minutes later, everyone is in the middle of a large circular ring.> Jeff Probst: <narrating> With Tikei going to their first Tribal Council, Tina fought to save her best friend Wanda. Tina: Well, you know I can't vote for her. I just can't. Tracy: I know, and I don't really want to either, but it's in the tribe's best interest if we want to continue winning. Tina: Well, I'm sorta thinkin' Anthony. Tracy: Anthony? Tina: He hardly does anything around here. Jeff Probst: <narrating> But with Brian fighting hard for Anthony… Brian: It makes the most sense. Dave: I'm gonna miss her, but in order to have a better shot at winning, I think Wanda needs to go. Brian: Me too. Jeff Probst: <narrating> Wanda was sent home. Jeff Probst: Wanda, the tribe has spoken. <Jeff snuffs Wanda's torch as she nods her head.> Wanda: It's been my pleasure. <Wanda turns and faces her tribe.> Good luck you guys. <Wanda then turns and walks away from the Tribal Council area. Tina is then shown with a tear falling down her face.> Jeff Probst: <narrating> 14 are left. Who will be voted out tonight? <Tina is shown walking with her torch, behind Dave, as they leave Tribal Council.> Tikei - Night 6 <A night-vision lens shows the Tikei tribe walking back into camp with their torches. They move toward their fire pit, which is lit with only a few sparks of flame.> Dave: I miss her already. Tracy: You can't help but to feel bad about voting her off. Brian: Is Tina okay? Tracy: I don't know where she is. Tracy - CONFESSIONAL: Tonight at Tribal Council, it was Wanda who was the first to go from our tribe. I know Tina really wanted her to stay, so I feel bad for Tina right now because I know she's very down. <Tina is leaning her torch up against a tree near the shelter.> Tracy: Are you okay, Tina? Tina: I'm holding up. Tracy: Listen, I'm really sorry about tonight. I hope you can forgive me. Tina: I understand. You did what you had to do. Tina - CONFESSIONAL: It was very sad to see Wanda go tonight. I was in $%!$$ by the end of Tribal, because I knew she was going home. I'm already missing her. <The tribe is now in the shelter.> Ashley: Well, I'm ready for some sleep. Brian: Yeah, it's been a long day. Dave: Let's hope tomorrow's better. Tikei - Day 7 <It is early morning. Tina is moving wood closer to the fire and preparing to get it started, while the rest of the tribe is still sleeping.> Tina: I guess I have to do all this by myself for now on. Tina - CONFESSIONAL: Waking up this morning and not having Wanda here to talk to made me feel really alone out here. Wanda and I were really close and <tearing up> I feel like I lost a really good friend. <Tina has started the fire and is poking at it with a stick. She looks over at her tribe, who is still in bed. She turns back to the fire.> Tina - CONFESSIONAL: <continued> Now I'm here fending for myself, I feel like and I've shifted all of my focus onto the game. I'm going to win this thing, so everybody else better move out of the way. <Tina smiles> I'm takin' this baby home! Rapa - Day 7 <It's morning, and the tribe is sitting around the campfire. Leslie is frying chopped coconut over the fire. Brook is shown chopping more coconut to cook.> James: Mm, smell that coconut! Leslie: There're a few that are about ready to eat. James: Slap 'em on my plate Leslie! <Leslie looks over at James, who has his hands cupped in front of him. She laughs and turns back to the fire.> James - CONFESSIONAL: Now that we have fire, we were able to cook up some coconut this morning and have some breakfast. It was like a barbeque, Polynesia-style. We didn't have any meat, but boy did we sure have a lot of coconut. Hey, I'll take any food I can get around here. <James has a handful of coconut in his hand. The rest of the tribe is eating as well.> Leslie: Careful, it's probably hot. James: Hey, I haven't had a hot meal in seven days. Man, I don't even care if I burn my tongue off. <Misty rolls her eyes and laughs.> James - CONFESSIONAL: <continued> We've got a challenge comin' up today, so havin' that meal in our stomachs really gets us goin'. I feel like I'm ready to kick some ass. Reward Challenge - Broken Tiles and Falling Keys <The camera is focused on Jeff Probst.> Jeff Probst: Come on in, guys. <Both tribes are walking toward Jeff. Rapa is looking over at Tikei to see which person is missing.> Jeff Probst: Rapa getting its first looks at the new Tikei tribe. Wanda voted out at the last Tribal Council. Angie: Oh, Wanda? <The tribes are now looking at Jeff. Behind him are two platforms in the water with four tiles hanging from each.> Jeff Probst: Ready to get to today's challenge? <Everyone says "yeah" in unison.> Jeff Probst: Behind me are two platforms in the water. Four members from each tribe will one-by-one swim out to the platforms. Waiting there is a club. Using that club, you will climb up the platform, and smash one of the hanging tiles, releasing a key. Grab the key that drops into the water and swim back to the beach. Once you have retrieved all four keys, the remaining three members will unlock a chest containing puzzle pieces. These puzzle pieces will build four replicas of the tiles that were broken near the platforms. The first tribe to put together all four tiles wins reward. Now, let's get to what you're playing for. <Jeff turns to his right and unveils a covered table. Underneath are two pillows, two blankets, and a large tarp. After he removes the cover, cheers can be heard from the survivors.> Jeff Probst: Right here, we've got some pillows, some blankets, and a tarp, which I can guarantee you'll need during your time out here. <Ashley is shown with her hands clamped together, held near her face.> Jeff Probst: Also, with your reward you'll get to kidnap one person from the other tribe, and they will stay with you until the next immunity challenge. Decide who's going to do what, and we'll get started. <The camera fades into a later scene. Jeff, Dave, Tracy, and Tina are ready to swim to the platforms, as are Aaron, Brook, James, and Angie. Misty, Erica, and Leslie are going to solve the puzzles for Rapa, while Brian, Ashley, and Anthony are going to solve for Tikei.> Jeff Probst: Survivors ready? <Jeff and Aaron prepare to go into the water.> Go! <Jeff and Aaron race into the water and begin swimming to the platforms. Jeff reaches the platform a few seconds before Aaron and grabs the club. As he climbs up the platform, Aaron reaches it and quickly begins climbing. Jeff jumps over the edge and smashes a tile. Aaron is then shown breaking a tile.> Jeff Probst: Both Aaron and Jeff have broken their tiles. Now they must find the keys that fell to the water. <Jeff is shown with his key and is swimming back to shore. Aaron comes up from underwater with a key in hand. He swims back to shore.> Jeff Probst: Jeff and Aaron are racing back to shore. Once they hit the beach, the next person can go. <Jeff reaches the beach and Dave goes into the water. Shortly after that, Aaron reaches shore and Brook heads to the platform.> Jeff Probst: Dave and Brook now going to retrieve a key. <Brook catches up to Dave while swimming. He then moves past him and reaches the platform first. Brook quickly climbs up the platform and smashes a tile. He catches the key on his way down.> Jeff Probst: Brook got a lead on Dave and now has his key. <Dave is now shown climbing up the platform and breaking his tile. A key falls to the water. Brook is then shown swimming back to shore. Dave sees his key in the water and quickly reaches down to grab it. He then begins swimming back to the beach.> Jeff Probst: Both men are coming back to shore, but Brook has a bit of a lead on Dave. <Brook now reaches the beach and James goes into the water. Tracy is shown biting her lip as Dave is on his way back to shore. He arrives, and Tracy runs to the water. James is still in the lead by several yards.> Jeff Probst: James and Tracy going out to get their keys. <James is now at the platform. He climbs up with the club in hand, and jumps over to smash a tile. A key falls to the water.> Jeff Probst: James has released his key. Now he has to find it and bring it back. <James is shown looking around in the water.> James: Where the hell did that go? <Tracy is shown at the platform. The camera then moves back to James. He sees his key underwater and grabs it. He then swims back to shore.> Jeff Probst: James has found his key, now he's heading back so Angie can go. <Tracy is shown smashing a tile. A key drops to the water with Tracy followed behind. As she reaches the water, Tracy looks for the key. She has a little trouble seeing where it fell.> Jeff Probst: Tracy's having trouble finding the key. <Tracy dives underwater. James is then shown approaching the beach. He runs to shore and Angie goes into the water. The camera then moves back to Tracy in the water, who is moving her hand around on the floor. She feels the key and grabs it. She resurfaces and swims toward the shore.> Jeff Probst: Tracy's got her key and is heading back to shore. <Angie is now close to the platform by the time Tracy reaches the beach. Tina quickly runs into the water and swims to the platform. Angie reaches the platform, and climbs up. She smashes the tile as she jumps off the top. She grabs the key that falls to the water and heads back to shore.> Jeff Probst: Angie's got the fourth and final key and is heading back. <Tina is now at the platform. She climbs up and jumps to smash the tile. She falls and grabs the key before it starts sinking. She has it in her hand and is swimming back to shore.> Jeff Probst: Tina's made up a little bit of time on that last round. Both she and Angie are heading back with the last keys. <Angie reaches the shore and hands the key to Misty.> Jeff Probst: Rapa, open up the chest and start solving that puzzle. <Misty, Erica, and Leslie begin opening the locks on the chest. They open it and move the puzzle pieces inside to a nearby table and begin work on the puzzle. Tina now reaches the beach and hands off the key to Brian.> Jeff Probst: Start on that puzzle, Tikei. You're still in this! <Ashley, Brian, and Anthony open the chest and grab the puzzle pieces. They move to the table and begin putting pieces together.> Jeff Probst: Both tribes now working to solve their four puzzles. <Misty puts the final piece in for one of the puzzles. The remaining three have only portions put together. Brian, Ashley, and Anthony each work individually on a puzzle.> Jeff Probst: Two different strategies. Tikei is working separately, while Rapa is working to solve each puzzle together. <Erica puts the last piece in a second puzzle. She, Leslie, and Misty work on the last two puzzles. Brian has his puzzle solved and is moving onto the remaining of the four. Rapa now has a third puzzle completed.> Jeff Probst: Rapa is getting awfully close, just a few pieces left. <Anthony, Ashley, and Brian continue to work on their own puzzles. Misty is shown working on the puzzle.> Misty: That last piece goes here. <Misty grabs the last piece and puts it in place. She and Erica turn to Jeff and call his name. Jeff turns to look at their puzzles.> Jeff Probst: Rapa wins reward! <The Rapa tribe cheers, as Misty, Erica, and Leslie hug each other. Ashley is shown putting the last piece in her puzzle. Anthony and Brian's puzzles are still incomplete. They stop working and join the rest of their tribe.> Jeff Probst: Rapa, come get your reward. <Brook and Aaron move to the table and grab the items.> Jeff Probst: Also Rapa, I need a name. Who are you going to kidnap? <The tribe huddles together and decides on a name.> Brook: We're gonna kidnap Dave. <Dave opens his eyes wide then walks over to Rapa.> Jeff Probst: Whoa, Dave, you forgot this. <Jeff has a bottle and a scroll in his hand.> Dave: Oops! <Dave walks over to Jeff and grabs the items.> Jeff Probst: Dave, you will rejoin your tribe at the next challenge. Rapa, enjoy your reward. Tikei, I've got nothin' for you. Head back to camp. <The tribes walk out of the area. Dave salutes to his tribe as he goes. Tracy is then shown looking at Dave before the screen fades to black.>

I'm supposed to be good at puzzles. Tracy: We just have to get losing out of our system and focus on winning. Brian: Yeah, because I'm not going to Tribal Council again. Brian - CONFESSIONAL: We lost the reward challenge today, which really sucks. We could've had pillows, blankets, and a tarp, which we could've really used. It looks like it's going to rain too, so I'm sure we'll be miserable again tonight. <Jeff and Ashley are talking near the shelter.> Jeff: I think I'm going to go try and catch some fish before the rain comes. Ashley: Hope you catch something. Jeff: Yeah. Ashley - CONFESSIONAL: The mood around camp, for me, is a lot lighter now that Dave is away for a few days. It's a lot less stressful. <Jeff is in the water fishing with the Hawaiian sling, and Ashley is watching from the beach.> Ashley: Try to catch a shark! Jeff: What? Ashley: I said try to catch a shark! Jeff: Oh. Ashley - CONFESSIONAL: <continued> Out of everyone here, I trust Dave the least. He's very shifty and I just can't take anything he says very truthfully. He's playing a smart game, and I'm trying to be smarter by keeping an eye on every move he makes. <Jeff is shown popping out of the water with a fish at the end of the sling.> Ashley: Yay, you got one! Jeff: It's a little small. Ashley: It's still food. Jeff: I'm gonna see if I can get more. Ashley - CONFESSIONAL: My problem is that I think too much in the present, and not as much toward future. I don't really have a clear image in my head of where I'll be in 3, 6, 9, 30 days. That's something I know I have to work on. I need to have a plan, so when something comes along, I'll be ready for it. <Jeff walks back to the beach with three fish.> Jeff: I got three. Ashley: Well, that's good. Jeff: I'm gonna go clean 'em so we can eat in a little bit. <Ashley turns to the camp to see Tina sitting by the fire.> Ashley: It looks like Tina's got a fire going, so… Jeff: Hey, having a tarp is one thing, but I'd rather be wet than be starving. Ashley: Me too. Jeff - CONFESSIONAL: Ashley and I have been partners since the beginning. We talk about the game and are always on the same page with each other before we make any moves. I think it's important to have someone that you can rely on in this game. <Jeff and Ashley walk near the fire toward Tina.> Ashley: Jeff got fish! Tina: Ooh, great! Let's get 'em cooked up. Jeff: We can each have about half a fish. Tina: That's awesome. Way to go! Rapa - Day 7 <The tribe is walking into camp.> Leslie: Welcome to Rapa, Dave! Dave: Yeah, do you guys have a bathroom around here? I really gotta go. Leslie: It's right up that trail. James: Make sure you find a tree with some good leaves on it. <James winks at Dave and makes a clicking noise with his mouth.> Dave: Hope you guys haven't used all of them. <Dave laughs> Dave - CONFESSIONAL: I didn't really need to go to the bathroom like I said. I was just really anxious to read the scroll that Jeff gave me, so I needed something to say to everyone so they wouldn't bother me. <Dave is now in a secluded area of the jungle. He opens the scroll.> Dave: Let's see what you have to say… Inside this bottle is a clue to the whereabouts of a hidden immunity idol. Dave: I was right! Dave - CONFESSIONAL: <continued> I was right about it being a clue to a hidden immunity idol, but unfortunately I had to give it up to someone else, rather than reading it myself. Dave: <to the camera> I'm half-tempted to peak inside anyways. Dave - CONFESSIONAL: <continued> So now I have to pay close attention to this tribe and see which one of these people I should give the idol to. I kind of like being in this position of power. <Dave walks back into camp.> Dave: Ah, much better. <Misty looks up at Dave and laughs.> Misty - CONFESSIONAL: After being kidnapped a few days ago, I know what kind of position Dave is in. Though, I'm not sure everyone else does. I didn't give him the clue to the idol, so he may feel a little bitter about it. But that doesn't mean I'm not going to try and have him give it to me. <Dave and Misty are sitting by the fire whispering to each other.> Misty: So, uh, have you decided who you're giving the clue to yet? Dave: <sarcastically> What clue? Misty: You've read the scroll, right? Dave: Maybe. Misty: I'm just saying, if you were to give me the clue, I wouldn't mind sharing the information. Dave: Hmm, I'll definitely have to consider that then. Misty - CONFESSIONAL: <continued> We'll see. It's a long shot, because I could tell he didn't want to talk to me about it. But I did offer to him that I'd share the clue if he gave it to me, so, I'm hoping that changes his mind. <Misty gets up and walks away from the fire. Dave watches her leave, then turns away and smirks.> Dave - CONFESSIONAL: Misty's not going to have anything to do with the clue or the idol. And if it's for one reason, it's because she basically asked for it. I know she's capable of finding the idol, so there's no way I'm going to give her the means to do it. I want someone who's too stupid to find the thing. That way, I have virtually no competition when I'm trying to find it for myself. <A view of the skies is shown. Storm clouds are approaching, so the tribe is working on putting the tarp over their shelter.> Brook: We better get this up fast, guys. Aaron: Let's do it. Brook - CONFESSIONAL: I was really glad we won the reward, because I woke up this morning and looked at the sky, and I just knew a storm was coming. So having that extra cover of us should really help us out tonight. <The palm fronds that covered the roof are now on the ground. James, Aaron, Angie, and Brook are putting the tarp on.> James: There we go, boys and girls. Brook: Nice. Brook - CONFESSIONAL: <continued> Rapa is definitely making a comeback. The other tribe thought they had us beat after those first two challenges, but we're now proving that they aren't as strong as they thought. I definitely want to keep on winning, because things get way too complicated when we lose. Aaron: I hope this keeps us dry. Dave: Man, my tribe is going to have a rough night. Aaron: That's fine by me. I mean no offense. Dave: No, I understand. We want you guys to lose too. Aaron: It's a competition, you know? Dave: Right. Aaron - CONFESSIONAL: We may not be catching fish, but at least we'll be able to stay warm and dry at night. It looks like it's going to rain tonight, so I'm sure Tikei will be having fun. Meanwhile, we'll be sound asleep in our new tarp-covered shelter. TIkei - Night 7 <A flash of lightning is shown, and thunder can be heard. The tribe is shown huddled together in their shelter, with rain dripping in from the roof.> Ashley: I'm so cold. Jeff: This is hands down the worst storm I've ever seen. Tracy: This is bad. Tracy - CONFESSIONAL: Last night our tribe went through the worst storm we've seen out here yet, and probably one of the worst storms most of us have seen in our entire lives. Brian: This isn't letting up at all. Tracy: It's going to pour all night long. Tina: Probably into the day too. Tracy - CONFESSIONAL: <continued> We were all huddled together trying to keep warm, but it wasn't working. None of us slept at all because we were shivering all night long. It was just miserable. Brian: I wish we had a tarp right now. Rapa - Night 7 <Much like the Tikei tribe, Rapa is huddled together in the shelter. The tarp is preventing much of the rain from leaking in, so the tribe is relatively dry.> Brook: This is brutal. Dave: Sucks for my tribe right now. Leslie: Oh my gosh; they have to be miserable right now. Leslie - CONFESSIONAL: Sitting in the shelter, with the cold wind blowing in, I thought we had it rough. But then I thought about the other tribe, without a tarp over their shelter. You know, they had to have been doing much worse than we us. Leslie: I feel so bad for them. James: Hey, they'll deal with it. They've done it before. Leslie: I guess you're right. Leslie - CONFESSIONAL: <continued> I guess I'm a little more sympathetic than the rest of my tribe. I tend to let my heart be my conscience. Don't get me wrong; I'm definitely competitive. But I don't think I have it in me to be cut-throat. Not at all. Erica: Man, this stuff is gonna go on forever. Tikei - Day 8 <The rain continues to pour as the tribe remains in the shelter.> Ashley: I can't believe this is still going. Tina: Wow. Ashley: It was never this bad in China. Ashley - CONFESSIONAL: It's been raining for over 12 hours by now. If this was going on back home, people would be evacuating their homes due to flash floods. I've never seen so much rain at once. This is crazy! Ashley: Is this ever going to stop? Tina: I'm sure it will sometime. <Several hours of rain pass. It is now much later in the day, and the rain finally stops. Everyone moves out of the shelter.> Brian: Freedom! Anthony - CONFESSIONAL: As soon as the rain died down, everyone jumped out of the shelter and scattered in different directions. We were all just excited to move around and stretch our legs after being crammed in the shelter for so long. Anthony: It's nice to be able to walk around and not be soaking wet after three seconds. Brian: Let's hope that's the last rain storm we have for a while. Anthony - CONFESSIONAL: <continued> I was really anxious to talk to Brian because I wanted to see what his plans for. After being close to going home at the last Tribal Council, I want to make sure I'm not on the chopping block again. Anthony: So what's going on as far as the next vote goes? Brian: Well, I haven't really talked to anyone about it, but I would guess Tina. Anthony: As long as I'm not on the chopping block. Brian: No, we'll make sure that doesn't happen. Besides, Tina's been way too quiet since Wanda left. Anthony: I don't really see her trying to make a move and vote me off. Brian: Me neither. Brian - CONFESSIONAL: Anthony and I have kind of been allies for a while. I watch his back, and he watches mine. I think I'm doing more of watching his back than he is mine, but it's good to at least have someone that you know is going to stick with you. Rapa - Day 8 Dave - CONFESSIONAL: After it stopped raining, I took the opportunity to pass on the clue for the hidden immunity idol. I didn't know if I'd have another chance, so I wanted to get it over and done with. <Dave is walking with Angie in the jungle.> Dave: Angie, I want to give you something. Angie: You do? <Dave pulls out the bottle from his pocket and gives it to Angie.> Angie: Oh my gosh, Dave! Dave: It's a clue to a hidden immunity idol. Angie: Wow! Angie - CONFESSIONAL: I couldn't believe it when Dave gave me the clue. I was so shocked! I didn't even know there was an idol, and now that I'm one of the only ones with a clue, my chance of finding it is very good right now. Angie: I'll have to make this up to you somehow. Dave: No problem, honey. Angie: Listen, if I were to get kidnapped by your tribe, I would totally give you the clue. You gave it to me, so I should give it to you. Dave: Hey, that sounds good. Dave - CONFESSIONAL: I was actually surprised that Angie offered to give me the clue if she came to our camp. That definitely gives me the motivation to make sure that happens if we win the next reward. If I can get a clue from her, with three clues, I think I could find the idol. Angie: Thank you, Dave. Angie - CONFESSIONAL: <continued> Now that I have the clue, I can start looking for the idol. Angie: Clue #2: It is not in trees, nor the skies. It's hidden underground, in disguise. Looking for more clues? The place you go for all other news. Angie: Well, we get news at treemail. Angie - CONFESSIONAL: The clue told me that the idol isn't in a tree or up above, and it said that it's somewhere around where we get treemail. I think it could be buried somewhere, but I don't know where to begin digging. <Angie is walking around in circles around the treemail. A large wooden tiki stands with its mouth open, providing a place to house mail.> Angie: I doubt it's buried right underneath, but it has to be somewhere. I think if I had one more clue, I could get it. Angie - CONFESSIONAL: <continued> I think I'm very close, but I don't want to just start digging a bunch of holes around treemail. It's a pretty open area, and everyone would see them. I don't want people getting suspicious, so I think I'm going to keep quiet for now and wait for another clue. <Brook, Aaron, James, and Leslie are sitting around the fire pit. Brook and Aaron are working on starting the fire.> Leslie: I think I'm going to go wash my clothes in the water. <No one responds and Leslie walks toward the ocean.> Leslie - CONFESSIONAL: For the past several days, I've been feeling like I'm next in line to go. Nobody has really been talking to me lately. I think the longest conversation I've had in a while was with Dave this morning, and he leaves tomorrow. You know, if we go to Tribal Council anytime soon, I'm certain I'll be voted off. <Leslie is shown washing her shirt in the water, before the men are shown back near the fire.> Aaron: She knows she's next. Brook: I kind of feel bad for her. She seems depressed or something. Aaron: Well I would too if I knew I was going to be voted off soon. Aaron - CONFESSIONAL: Leslie's been pretty melancholy for a few days now. She knows she's going home soon, and that would make anybody unhappy. But, it's not our fault she's the weakest on our tribe. You can't expect to be weak and not be voted off. Aaron: Well, if we lose tomorrow, I'm definitely voting for her. James: I'm with you on that one. Brook: Yeah. <Misty and Erica are walking in the jungle.> Erica: So what're you thinkin' right now? Misty: About the vote? Erica: Yeah. Misty: Well, I know the guys are all ready to vote Leslie out. Erica: I think she's ready too. Misty: I'm not sure. You know, if we keep on voting out the weakest person, we're going to end up with a bunch of guys we can't beat. I mean, maybe we should consider taking out a threat rather than someone we can beat. Erica: I see what you mean. Misty: I don't think you or I could beat Brook or Aaron at a challenge. Erica: No. Misty: That's the kind of stuff I think about. Misty - CONFESSIONAL: Our plan so far has been to get rid of the weakest link on our tribe. The only problem with voting out the weakest is the fact that you're keeping the strongest. When we merge, we're going to end up with all these strong guys we can't beat! We have to think about a way to stop that from happening if we even want to stand a chance later in the game. Erica: We'll see what happens tomorrow.
