I think that's probably somehow connected with the Others wanting kids and desperately trying to have babies. Could it be as simple as them being easily influenced and unjaded?

Really just want to know what we think about Locke's conversation with "Helen". The context of the phone call makes no sense if it is the Helen that we have come to know on the show.

She call's Locke a "customer" and says he would have to "pay to keep talking to her".

So what do we think? Goof? Locke simply found an escort also named Helen? Something that's been explained and I'm just aloof (probably this one)?

I may be wrong, but I actually don't even think that's really the escort's name. I think that's what he calls her because he's so lonely since he lost his real Helen. She left him because he couldn't let go of his bitterness towards his father. And his obsession with getting answers from him. I think I have the timeline correct but it is really confusing especially since I haven't watched those episodes in a long time which were flashing back and forth to begin with and then they started wonking up the timeline later on so it's even more confusing. That plus I think he flashed back to that moment before he ever flashed back regarding the real Helen. I seem to recall us discussing if there was a real Helen before she was ever revealed. He even slipped and called Kate Helen once.
