And now, before I move on to my DP rankings, I'd like to make it known that first off, I've only played Diamond and I've only played it once. Moreover, I didn't really bother catching a lot of Pokemon due to the fact that 493 is just too fucking many, and too many of them were just annoying to obtain. So the bottom of the list and the top should be detailed, but the majority of my write-ups are going to be short because I really don't care. Now, let's begin.


107. Regigigas (Normal)

The biggest problem I had with DP is the fac that they made so many unnecessary legendary Pokemon that it just wants special or fun to catch them anymore. It's like they've been adding more and more legendaries to every game since RBY and DP just took it too far. Regigigas spawned from the idea that bringing all of the Regis from RSE together would form this ultimate creation. That's all well and good, and Regigigas is a very powerful Pokemon except for one TEENSY little problem. His special ability cuts his attack AND defense in half for the first five turns of any battle, basically making Regigigas completely useless to even bother training. All the work of transferring the other three Regis to DP just to gain this piece of crap? Bottom of the list, thank you very much.


106. Bibarel (Normal/Water)

I really don't like when Normal gets paired up with other types. I mean, I was okay with it in Flying-types, but I'd like a pure Flying-type one of these days. Then they made Girafarig, which was Psychic, almost the exact opposite of Normal. And now Bibarel is a Normal/Water-type. What the hell? You couldn't think of any new Water fillers so you make a beaver? It's completely useless for anything except being an HM whore, and finding them en masse in the Safari Zone, or whatever the hell it's called. Beavers are only cool in certain situations, and Bibarel sure as hell ain't one of them.


105. Kricketot (Bug)

There's always gotta be a Bug-type early in the game and Kricketot filled that role for DP. And much like 135th ranked Seedot from RSE, Kricketot basically started the game out with Bide as his only move. The difference between him and Seedot? Well, Kricketot evolves earlier at level ten. The problem was that he didn't learn any moves until he evolved, making him a real bitch to train for a very small reward.


104. Chingling (Psychic)

I hate baby Pokemon and I see absolutely no reason to create baby Pokemon like Chingling for already crappy Pokemon like Chimecho. I mean, you gave evolutions to about a dozen other Pokemon, give one to Chimecho before giving him a rare and useless baby form. But as mentioned above, I don't care enough to make a long write-up for Chingling.


103. Mantyke (Water)

Take what I just said about Chingling and replace Chimecho with Mantine. BAM! You've got Mantyke. Honestly, this would probably be lower than Chingling if Mantine wasn't better than Chimecho. I mean, it's Water filler AND it doesn't even evolve easily. You need to level it up with a Remoraid in your party. It's just not worth it.


102. Burmy (Bug)

Burmy has a unique gimmick of being able to change into a Steel, Grass, or Ground-typing of some kind. And in addition to that, it can evolve into a moth or another crappy Bug. Burmy is only found via spreading honey on trees, which isn't even a guarantee given that Combee and Wurmple appear more. It's just boring and weak and once again, I don't care about it.


101. Shellos (Water/Ground)

Another gimmick Pokemon whose gimmick was to have a blue version in half of the world and a pink version in the other half. That's about the only memorable thing about Shellos. The disappointment of realizing that you didn't find a shiny version and in fact just found a Shellos from the other side of the world.
