90. Purugly (Normal)

Remember how I mentioned that the traditional cat Pokemon has been getting uglier in every generation since GSC? Well Purugly is the culmination of that ugliness, so much so that its name even has the word "ugly" in it. Honestly, I got Diamond, and thus didn't even have access to Purugly, but it's just a Normal-type, and Normal-types, like Water-types, have to be REALLY special to impress me at this point, which Purugly didn't.


89. Giratina (Ghost/Dragon)

Jesus Christ, we DON'T need another legendary. It pisses me off that Nintendo put so many legendaries in the games because they aren't special like they were back in the days of Mewtwo and the birds. Giratina is supposed to be the trademark of the upcoming Platinum game, but seriously, Palkia is ugly, but Giratina is just outright stupid-looking. Add to that the fact that it gives us yet another Ghost AND another Dragon, thus cheapening both types, and Giratina ranks extremely low on my list.


88. Uxie (Psychic)

The legendary trio in this game was absolutely pathetic. It was like the designers thought about Mew and decided to make a trio of "cute" Psychic-types. Uxie was the tank of the three, and as I've mentioned before, I dislike tanks because I don't battle competitively. I don't see the point in making a Pokemon hard to train because all it's good for is taking damage.


87. Manaphy (Water)

Three legendaries in a row, what a big surprise. Manaphy fills the Mew/Celebi/Jirachi spot in the game as the super-rare Pokemon you can only access via special, out-of-game means. Unlike those three though, Manaphy is not a Psychic-type, which means he's both another useless legendary AND another useless Water-type all rolled into one. So pointless.


86. Croagunk (Poison/Fighting)

I'll give the creators credit for Croagunk because they really seemed to have been trying to be unique and original when designing him. They even made Croagunk the first Poison/Fighting-type ever. But unfortunately, that typing doesn't really cover any weaknesses of the individual types, and in fact makes Croagunk weaker to the already powerful Psychic-types. Croagunk just is a good idea gone wrong, and add to that the fact that he's a Safari Zone Pokemon, and it basically makes it so Croagunk is one hassle that's just not worth chasing after.


85. Carnivine (Grass)

This is yet another Safari Zone Pokemon that I don't really care about enough to have trained one. Grass-types really aren't that great to have on a team due to the massive amount of weaknesses they have, and thus it's not worth it to raise a single-form Pokemon like Carnivine. I give it credit for being a member of Team Rocket, but honestly, it doesn't compare to the older members of the team like Wobbuffet, Meowth, and Seviper.


84. Gible (Ground/Dragon)

This has got to be one of the stupidest ideas I've ever seen. They wanted to create a land shark, so they made a shark that's a Ground-type, but not content with the Ground/Dragon they introduced just one generation before, they made a brand new Ground/Dragon line, and it's just nowhere near as cool as Flygon. Honestly, this thing is neither enchanting like Dratini nor intimidating like Bagon, so it just fails in most aspects. It looks like a midget in a shark costume, honestly.


83. Cherrim (Grass)

Yeah, Cherrim is the epitome of DP meh-ness. I don't even have anything really unique to say about it, other than it evolves from Cherubi. That, and it has two forms, and it's basically only useful when Sunny Day is in effect, so basically no one in their right mind would keep a Cherrim in their team.


82. Gastrodon (Ground/Water)

This write-up is basically the same as for Shellos and all the other stupid Water/Ground-types that have been introduced since GSC. It's not a good typing and it has basically become bland. I didn't like playing a slug when I had Slugma, so I don't like having to deal with a new slug Pokemon. I don't care about the stupid differences between east and west coast, because this ain't Biggie vs. Tupac, seriously. Gastrodon is just another Water Pokemon that didn't need to be included.


81. Abomasnow (Ice/Grass)

For three generations, Abra was the first Pokemon alphabetically. Absol came close to changing that, but no. But then Abomasnow came along and ruined everything. And not only that, but it basically paired up one of the worst typings ever in Grass with a typing that barely improves it at all in Ice. It's just a gimmick Pokemon that was supposed to be some sort of fiercesome Christmas tree, I'm sure. It just doesn't work out at all.
