Don't knock anthros. Especially when the creators willingly designed Lopunny all on their own. They're as perverted as anyone else.

20. Mismagius (Ghost) Mismagius is cute as far as ghosts go, and she reminds me of Vivian from Paper Mario 2: The Thousand Year Door, and I loves me some Vivian. Despite being a new evolution of an older Pokemon, Mismagius doesn't completely suck as Ghosts are still really powerful defense-wise. Sadly, she's from Pearl, and Pearl was lame compared to Diamond soz.
19. Spiritomb (Ghost/Dark) Last generation, Sableye became the first Pokemon to ever have no weaknesses to specific typings of attacks. This generation, Spiritomb did that as well, only Spiritomb did it in a way that didn't suck, and thus was able to get on the Pokemon League Champion's team. The biggest problem with Spiritomb was just how fucking annoying it would be to get one, assuming you have friends that can connect games with you and all that shit.
18. Gallade (Fighting/Psychic) This fixed a big problem I had with the entire Ralts line. If you have a male Ralts...you're supposed to let it fully evolve into some sort of drag queen Gardevoir? This solved that problem by specifically allowing male Kirlias (I don't need to picture guys in tutus, but whatever) to evolve into a more masculine Fighting-type. Still a new evolution, which is annoying in and of itself, but it solved a slight problem I had back in RSE to get 18th place.
17. Buneary (Normal) Rabbits are adorable, and Buneary is so cute it's amazing they didn't think of it sooner. For a normal-type that really should be female more often than male, it was nice to see that Buneary learned a bunch of kicking attacks to it could kick the crap outta anything that gave it any shit. Also, apparently Buneary wants to bone Pikachu, which is funny in and of itself, since I think Pikachu is gay.
16. Combee (Bug/Flying) I'm gonna be honest with you. This makes the top 16 and into my tournament specifically because of how cute it is. It sucks in combat, knowing pretty much only one attack for the duration of its life, unless it evolves. Also, the males don't evolve at all, so it you spend the time trying to find a Combee in the trees, and it's male...you're fucked. But the positives are that female Combees become powerful Vespiquens, they carry honey to spread on trees and attract new Pokemon, and they are the cutest Bug Pokemon ever. It's like someone glued three smiley face emoticons together and they became Combee.
15. Dialga (Steel/Dragon) The game's final legendary is the one from DIAMOND (5 of my top 15 are Diamond, only 1 of the top 15 is from Pearl. Owned bitches!). I didn't much care for any of the legendaries in the game, but Dialga just has a very cool look to him and a good typing. Sure, it may now be weak to Fighting and Ground, but who cares? He looks like a bull centaur sort of creature and controls time. Time is greater than space, therefore Dialga is greater than Palkia.
14. Skuntank (Poison/Dark) Honestly, the main reason this didn't make the top 10 is because of that awful farting sound that plays every time you send Skuntank into battle. Skuntank is actually the first Pokemon from my elite 4 team to appear on this list, which is a big step up from where Dustox and Pelipper and Shiftry landed on the RSE list. I just love skunks. Aside from the smell, they're extremely cute, and fuzzy. Plus Skuntank randomly learns Flamethrower, which is awesome. I picture him going to spray someone and then clicking a lighter down there to ignite the skunk juices. Teehee.
13. Empoleon (Water/Steel) This is another of my elite 4 team, and this one was a big disappointment for me. I got Piplup because it was cute and because I figured Empoleon would be a strong Pokemon. I was pretty much wrong. The combination of Water and Steel is more tank than attack, so I only used Empoleon in situations where Surf was a one-hit KO. Still, it's a cute little penguin, just with a trident attached to its forehead. That gets it some points.
12. Glameow (Normal) How the hell did the designers go so wrong with this one? Glameow was an awesome design because it was beautiful (in a cat way, not in a furry way) and it had a spring tail like Spoink. Then the developers had to screw everything up and evolve it into fucking Purugly. Glameow's beauty ranks it high on the list, although I never trained one personally. Also, Diamond has three exclusive left on the list and Pearl is officially OUT! IN YOUR FACE PEARL FANS!
11. Cranidos (Rock) When I was deciding between Diamond and Pearl, Dialga was a major factor in my choice. But then Cranidos was revealed and sealed the deal. Between a slow looking plow with legs and a battering ram, I'm gonna pick the battering ram, hands down. And the best part was that Cranidos didn't take forever to get as a fossil. You could have one trained before the third gym, making it infinitely better than all the crappy fossils from RBY and RSE. |

And now, the final 10, in order of whether or not the letter A is in their name (in the event of a tie, we move on to b, c, d, etc.)
Glaceon Lucario Rampardos Infernape Leafeon Luxray Staraptor Honchkrow Piplup Lopunny |

Glaceon - Agree. I raised mine to Lv. 77.
Lucario - Agree. It's bad ass. Rampardos - Disagree. It's just boring to me. Infernape - Agree/Disagree. It's badass but Chimar sucked. Leafeon - Disagree. Glaceon was always more superior. Luxray - Agree. Badass and fierce. Staraptor - Agree. Very good if you want a good team right off the bat. Honchkrow - Disagree. Never appealed to me. I have Staraptor. Piplup - Agree. Cutest.Starter.Ever. Lopunny - Agree/Disagree. I love it for being a slut, but it's never made it close to be on my team. Also, WTF is with the Spiritomb design? |

I really like this list, Kitty Pryde1. :)
And since it was my first pokemon of this generation, I think I want Piplup to win. |

10. Honchkrow (Dark/Flying) Is Honchkrow strong? No. Is Honchkrow a Pokemon I spent hours training? No. Do I like Murkrow? No. So why does it rank so highly, you might ask. Well, the reason is simple: pure comedic value. Honchkrow itself is kinda meh, but if you've ever seen his shiny self, it's the funniest fucking thing I've ever seen. They take a bird that already looks like it has a pimp hat, make it puff out its chest, and turn it purple. Seriously, I can't look at this thing without thinking about a Honchkrow pimpslapping a Lopunny and asking for his money. Comedic value is only enough to get him into the top then though, I'm afraid.
9. Leafeon (Grass) I love the majority of the Eeveelutions. With the exception of Vaporeon, who's ugly as sin, and Flareon, who's dull as shit, I love the Eeveelutions. In Diamond, I spent over a hundred hours hatching eggs and EV training just so I could have a perfect team of Eevee girls. Pathetic, I know. Leafeon is pretty cool. I didn't think I'd like her at first, but she learns Leaf Blade, which is just such a badass attack. I just prefer her sister from this generation more.
8. Piplup (Water) And once again, Water-types get the shaft of making my top ten and not making the top spot. Piplup is easily the cutest non-fire type ever created as a starter, and it outranks Chimchar and Charmander as well, making it the third cutest overall. I just love how it's a cute little baby penguin. It's adorable. Diamond was the first time I actually wasted my initial Pokemon choice on a Water-type (I say wasted, because it's not like I couldn't just replace it later on and chosen Chimchar or Turtwig instead). Piplup is my cute little penguin, and for the second generation in a row, my favorite was the same as the token Misty replacement.
7. Infernape (Fire/Fighting) Shocker! For the first time, a Fire-type will not be in the final 3 on one of my lists. Just goes to show that Nintendo needs to get their asses in gear and make new Fire-types goddammit! Infernape is definitely a nice change from how ugly Chimchar was, and it because an extremely badass Pokemon. Granted, it ripped off Blaziken's typing and make her less useful because Infernape is faster, but I'm not one to let such petty things cloud my judgement. I never really got the full effect of Infernape, because my rival was a pussy bitch and would always choose Turtwig, but at least Infernape got to shine at the Elite 4.
6. Staraptor (Flying/Normal) And just missing out on my top five, we have emo-bird! I don't know why, but I can't look at Staraptor without thinking of him as emo, mainly because of that little overhanging hair its got that makes it look like one of those freaks with their flippy hair. Staraptor was one of my main team and it was the first time that the initial Flying/Normal bird was actually useful in combat. He had speed, strength, and a power combination of Flying and Fighting attacks that made him very versitile when it came to my team against the Elite 4. |

Lulz. Also... Piplup is easily the cutest non-fire type ever created as a starter, and it outranks Chimchar and Charmander as well, making it the third cutest overall. You mean Torchic? Piplup's cute voice in the anime <333333333 I just realized that Staraptor is emo. |

I've always thought of Honchkrow as mafia. But it's alternate colour is pimp all the way
And yeah, the first thing I thought when I saw Staraptor was its emo haircut. |

I already have Platinum.
but more like I'm playing it on a rom, xD. I love the graphics. Before gym battles, in DP they had this pixelated ugleh sprite of them. In Plat, they look so much cooler and they look nice. I needa find screenshots but still, awesome. |

5. Luxray (Electric) After completely fucking up and making Manectric boring as shit, the designers came to their senses and gave us a three form Electric-type, reminiscent of the Mareep line. Only instead of sheep, they decided to make a Pokemon that was actually cool. As with Shinx and Luxio, I really think Luxray would've benefitted from a Dark-typing to make use of its Dark attacks, but what're ya gonna do? Luxray was one of the first Pokemon I caught in DP and he stayed on my team the entire game, all the way until the final 4. In fact, everyone in my top 6 was on one of my two final teams at some point or another. What keeps Luxray from placing higher is the fact that he has so much attack power and nothing to use it with. Electric physical attacks are few and far between, and Luxray only learns one. It's a sad story.
4. Glaceon (Ice) It only took them four generations, but they finally gave us a non-Flying Ice-type that was actually halfway decent to look at. I love the Eeveelutions. As I mentioned in an earlier write-up, I spent hundreds of hours riding my bike and hatching eggs just so I could get the perfect Eevee girls. Glaceon was the one I was most looking forward to though. In terms of design, when I first saw her, I thought she might be able to outdo Espeon (she didn't though.) Glaceon is a beautiful Pokemon whose only major flaw is the fact that she's so slow, making her weak in competitive battling. Still, never has Ice looked so HOT as in Glaceon. |

Three remain...who will win?
Will it be...Lopunny, the sluttiest bunny of all time? Will it be...Lucario, the rising star of the Pokemon world? Or will it be...Rampardos, the Pokemon that really has no historical precident from my previous three lists? |
