For Drama series, the predictions are -- Damages, Mad Men, Boston Legal and House with either Lost, Gray's Anatomy (barf!), or possibly the Wire.

Goldderby has a very good explanation as to why James Spader keeps
winning and why its likely he could win again this year. For best TV drama actor, they have Spader, Jon Hamm, Michael C Hall and Hugh Laurie as locks, with
either Gabriel Byrne or Bryan Cranston coming up fifth.

Piranhahaha wrote: Yes, AM. Yes, B-listers surely rise and shine for the announcement, and then later feign surprise and lie that their agent called them. But, no, Heigl won't be one of 'em. (And probably not Denton ... even he should realize that awards and he are never gonna meet.) You must have missed Heigl's cunty flourish a couple of weeks back ... a grande announcement that she's pulling her candidacy due to shit Grey's scripts ("they weren't writing for ME. me me me me me me me" last season"), followed by some interviews it all up. She played it as so noble, when in fact the tiresome girl is certainly positioning herself to get out of her Grey's commitment for movie stardom. Good luck with that Shelley, er, I mean Katherine. |

Barney and Olive are fine fine choices though.

This being said, I remember being frustrated by the Emmys at the time -- this might've been the period when Picket Fences was running the table, despite no one watching that show -- that they so completely ignored the revolution being conducted under Whedon's watch. Patrick Stewart *never* got a sniff of a nomination for best actor on Star Trek. (Though Star Trek:TNG got a token best drama nod it's final season) Lucy Lawless was snubbed every year on Xena. Even now LOST is under-represented in the Emmys. No way that Buffy was going to get a nod. (Unless it suddenly moved to HBO) |

Even now LOST is under-represented in the Emmys. It's not. It has sucked for two-and-a-half seasons. You LOSTIES need to shut the fuck up. LOST hasn't been one of television's top dramas for quite some time. And this goes the same to anyone else here that watches like two dramas on network television and then starts crying when neither of them are nominated. |

As opposed to the people who have the time to watch every single drama on tv, and therefore know exactly what should and should not be nominated, as their
opinion is the only one.

I've probably TRIED to watch every drama atleast once, sometimes I just couldn't make it through them (see Grey's Anatomy, CSI, others)
But everybody is entitled to like what they like. Lost was amazing this season. |

I am the BIGGEST lost fan, but i dont get why people are praising season 4. season 2 was the best one so far. 3 and 4 were about the same, but i dont see why
season 4 is supposed to be so amazing. maybe im just upset charlie wasnt there

You think season 2 is the best. Clearly you have no sense.

Lost was a little inconsistent this season, but the episode they submitted -- The Constant -- was the best hour of TV this entire year, even over The Wire
finale.
