Oh god, he sucks so much. Just spit the names out.
Okay he actually made a decent funny. " You two are the least popular, but knowing Canada, they are probably very sorry. " Soooo true. If I had to guess, I'd say Alison stays...... |

I think she was the one who sang Cabaret off-key that one night and they told her that she put a lot of passion into it.NewOrleansIsSinking wrote: |

I can't stop watching Simon. What is his problem? Drugs? Early stages of Parkinson's? Just a flailing Nancy? He makes me laugh so hard, especially
when he claps with his wrists flapping every which way.

Jayme was NOT the worst. I had her as fourth. Janna, Donna, Kyla, and then Jayme.
The judges had corn in their ears or something. I watched it twice, the East AND West Coast feeds, cuz I couldn't believe what I was hearing from them. There were at least 4 other girls who sang completely off key and were praised for it. Tamara was AWFUL. I can only presume that the sound was different in the studio, and I would imagine the judges felt differently once they saw the playback. At least I hope. In any case, if Jayme's in the bottom 2, I think she can pull herself out, but boy, John Barrowmore sure doesn't like her. I remember he called her arrogant, when they were choosing the final 10. I really hate the fact that she's had 2 crap songs in a row. For a soprano and she's had to completely sing in a different key, both times. I really want her to stay as she has a MUCH better song next week. Most of their outfits were as tacky as last week's, too. And I wanna know WHY all of the red hair? They made Jayme dye hers from blond to red. So, let's see...that's Donna, Jayme, Janna, Tamara...... Anyone else? Oh, and because of the technical screw-ups last week, they taped last night's episode on Sat. |

WEAK
I liked Allie better. Even if she was a little bit funny looking. |

Would the ticket buyers want to watch a chubby Maria?
The chubby Maria was the best one or one of the best ones last week. |

Chubby/fat Maria (Donna) had another beautiful performance this week!
Then the female judge (she's also the contestants' vocal coach) told Donna to stop being a self-centered DIVA who makes excuses at rehearsals. The production show is a team effort and Donna seems to only care about herself. Female judge told Donna to change her self-centered or selfish attitude. Then the good looking judge said that he's never met a leading lady who wasn't a BITCH! Female judge disagreed with him. |

That was very odd. It almost turned into a trainwreck. Elaine sounded really mad about it too, but it was irrelevant to her performance.
I loved Janna again. She's #1 for me. Tonight was the first time I liked Jayme and Marisa. Donna's soprano voice was quite pretty. Katie is still rather useless (she should be auditioning for Liesel) and I think Kyla bombed. Pretty sure Tamara will be one of the ones to go tomorrow. |

I'll read this thread later, but I was excited to see that the one Canadian network we get here is the one showing this. I downloaded the first 6 episodes
and am watching now. I will watch the results later tonight from last night. But for me, so far there are only 2 real stars in this bunch....Donna and Elisha.
Love them both very much. I think Jayme is overpimped and that one girl, Janna, is really intense and she strikes me as the type who would push the lead down
the stairs if she was the understudy.

All caught up!
Stand by my assertation from before seeing the past 2 weeks...Donna and Elisha are stars. Donna isn't right for the role of Maria but she's an incredible singer. Elisha is the best of all of them and I hope she wins this. Also, Janna is growing on me. |

The weird thing about Elisha for me is that I love everything she sings.... except for the actual Sound of Music songs. Her first week song about the colors
really made me pay attention to her... but the group numbers they do at the beginning of the shows.... don't like her somehow.
Donna actually LOOKS the most like the real Maria Von Trapp but I doubt the public would accept that image. The Julie Andrews thing is STRONG. Janna just seems to me to be the most natural. She never makes me cringe, and I think all of the others have at least once. However, I will likely never see this on stage, EVER. I can't get past a Maria not played by Julie Andrews. Surprised Tamara stayed. She looks so beaten down and unconfident now. |

I wouldn't see this show either...zzzz. Although I saw it years ago at Lincoln Center in NYC starring Debby Boone. Yes, fo reals.
I get chills listening to Elisha sing. I confess I fast forward over the group numbers mostly. For three weeks now, each of her songs have been totally different and I think she's nailed them all. After the "diva" talk, I think Donna will never win. She must be doing something off camera we are not seeing for that woman to make those comments like she is. Janna came on SO strong in the auditions and it was a real turn off for me. But she's definitely getting on my good side. |

Magdalyn wrote: Did you feel that way this week? If you are still the only other person still watching. I love love love Elisha. I hope she wins, and if she doesn't I hope she ends up somewhere good. The judges seem to love her so who knows. They have a
little pull in the musical theatre community. I think Donna is faltering and the judges aren't giving her much love. I just don't think Jamie is all
that great, and they salivated over her tonight.

Yeah, I don't entirely understand the Jayme thing. She was off key in all the clips they showed of her at "Maria School," and I may never get
over that. I was surprised she was one of the top ten, actually. But, I'd stll take her over Tamara. That poor thing looks so terrified all the time.
I still like Janna, even though her song was iffy. I wish they'd sing theatre songs every week. I've definitely switched on Marisa... I think she's good now. Well, they are all GOOD at this point so whatever. John Barrowman was sassy last night. I had to rewind the bit where he called Simon an old man and flailed around in his chair a couple of times, just to continue laughing. I also like seeing the "acting" session, even though it was just a little clip. This is great exposure for these girls. |

OH
Did anyone else catch John Barrowman mocking Mary Murphy? "You were vulnerable, VULNERABLE, VULNERABLE!!!!!" Hilarious! Is anyone even watching this thing? |

Just you and me Mags. Oh and can John Barrowman ever give a critique without mentioning WHO he knows, and what shows HE has been in. Egotistical name dropping douchebag much? |

Holy shit, Canadian voters are worse than the ones in the US!!
How the fuck were both Donna AND Elisha in the bottom three, while Jayme wasn't??? And Janna sucked last night. Thank god they saved Elisha...all three judges picked her as one of their favorites last night, while only 2 judges picked Donna. I think Janna has it in the bag, but I just am not feeling it. |
