I've said it previously, Jayme is a friend of my daughter's. They went to school together, and Jayme has also been a wonderful role model/mentor to my daughter, who is also an actress ( whom Will also knows! So, trust me on this, Will! ;)

I really get annoyed when people who DON'T know Jayme talk about how fake she is, and I've actually kind of stayed out of this thread lately because of the negativity towards her.

She's about as down to earth, real, bubbly, honest, open, as sweet as they come, and the whole Vancouver theatre community, many of whom have worked with Jayme for years, are totally behind her, raving about her.

She has incredibly loyal support, which doesn't come from someone who is a bitch, or fake. ALL of her past co-stars, particularly the children, talk about what a sweet and generous actress she is.
The girls who have been eliminated have been sending her tons of supportive notes. She's sort of assumed the role of the mother hen of the group. That's certainly not an attribute of someone who is fake. Or disliked.
Someone from Maria school didn't like her? Could sour grapes be playing a part, here?

She and Marisa have been very close since the process started back in Feb, when they became roommates during Maria school. They've remained roommates throughout the competition, the only two to have made it right from the beginning through to the final 4. They went out together this week and each bought something sparkly, to celebrate both of them making it to the top 5. As the Maria house has emptied, they had the option of moving into their own rooms and chose not to do so.
Their relationship has been very real, and Jayme was really sad that Marisa had to leave. Her wave at the end was an honest moment.
Now, I appreciate that you may not LIKE her as an artist. Fine.
But, she's NOT fake.


I personally first saw Jayme perform when she was 15, as the lead in Playing for Time. If you are familiar with this musical, you know it's quite the heavy subject matter. Jayme was very sick that night, but performed like a trouper. I was incredulous that one so young could give such a bravura performance, whilst swaying on her feet, trying not to pass out. THAT is a true professional.
It's annoyed me to no end that sometimes her "professionalism" has been perceived as a negative thing.
Anyway, I am babbling. I am glad she was saved tonight, though sorry to see Marisa go. Would have loved to have seen Jayme, Elicia, and Marisa in the final 3, as I am just not a fanna Janna.

Yeah. Jayme is my heart AND head choice.

People's opinions and perceptions really intrigue me.
See, everything you are saying about Jayme, is what I see in Janna. I just don't get her. I don't understand anyone who does. I think her performances are really flat.
So, I guess if you're drawn to someone like Janna, you more than likely wouldn't be drawn to Jayme.
Interesting.

Anyway, I am NOT saying she's Mother Theresa, I am saying I know who this girl is and she is NOT fake. Nor do I see "fake" on camera, so I am puzzled when someone else does.
