Finished watching the pilot. Not bad. Not great. Standard legal melodrama.
Gosselaar's self-righteous moral crusader schtick is going to get old fast, though. |

Isn't the black haired chick, Natalia something or another, also a SBTB alumn? I think she was in the cast that was right after the OG's left.

Bad pilot and the most offensive thing about it was MPG's greasy, "tortured-public servant" hair.

Haven't found the leaked pilot so I'm gonna give this a try tonight. I like the premise, TNT certainly seems to believe in it, and MPG almost always
gives you a strong/credible performance, so definitley gonna try it.

Saw a commercial for it purely by accident today. I'll check it out. I got an Eli Stone (without the psychic visions) vibe about it (lawyer with morals
takes on big bad lawyers with no morals). But that could just be cos I saw a chick that looked like Natasha Henstridge in the preview

4. And all of these people, plus a another prosecutor (minus the judge) get together and drink after work and discuss cases. I got the impression that maybe they were all in law school together or something? Not that that makes it much better. To me the worst part was all the fancy cinematics. I fucking hate shows that are all cinematic gimmickry. Just show a scene then another scene. If your show is good you don't need all the fancy crap. And what was with the extreme closeups on Gosselar's face? |

so the clerk banged the judge? I had to take a commercial break since they didn't.....then they end it with him at a gay bar
if it's the judge fighting with the crusader then no.... but, I liked some of it...I luv MPG...even with "greasy hair" |

I'm gonna go with overacting. Jane Kaczmarek chewed the fuck out of all her scenes.
I did learn one thing though: being broadcast in "HD" doesn't make a show any more watchable. |

It definitley is a little far-fetched in places, but for the most part, I really enjoyed it. I think MPG did great work as usual and with a little origin of
the characters, the fact they all have such strong ties to each other should be an interesting arch to follow throughout the season.

It's going to get old if every client of MPG is innocent and all of his cases go before the same judge. I wasn't that impressed. There was certainly
no originality in this show. I liked "Conviction" better.

This show was so bad that I think Ally Mcbeal had a more believable law setting than this huge pile of steaming crap.

Oh god. I saw one preview for this and got scared. What the hell happened to MPG? It's not just his horrible, greasy long hair. He's gaunt and
scowling. No thanks!

Basically I was already over MPG's character half way through the episode. His hair (which came off as something for us to like him more) to his TEARING UP
during several scenes? GTFO.
Nothing good came from it. Didn't care for anybody and am sick of seeing "Rich Man apparently can't do this job", "Everybody is innocent", "Everybody is guilty" "Do whatever it takes to save face" and "Cunt for no reason other than to be one" characters that seem to pop up in these shows. If this is where the monarchy is heading count me out. [Out of service, out of Africa, I wouldn't hang about...] |
