I own guns and have been married for 24 years, so Republicans think I am one of them until I tell them that Gays getting married do not affect my vows. I think there needs to be some sort of national health care plan - it will only encourage more people to try and start their own business and the people who are too poor ... well, lets take care of them or else it will cost us more in the long run. Then those republicans call me names. This is followed by Dems thinking i am one of them, until I tell them that I think law abiding citizens without a felonious record should have a right to carry a gun, that we should have a welfore to work program and cut a shit load of social spending. Then the Repubs come back and say, why not just be a republican? and I respond "Bush is the dumbest president ever. Iraq is a mistake and makes us look live fools." The Libs come back and say "Then you are one of us?" and I say "No. I think the military is a great thing for young people. Also, I am pro Free-market."

Then both sides give up and call me a freak. I guess if your a republican you expect me to want to drill for oil everywhere without concern for the environment, be pro-life, english only, hate gays, call global warming a farce and expect Jesus to be in every classroom at the expense of true science.

If your a democrate, you expect me to give up my guns, pay more taxes, hate wall street and other "profiteering" corporations, and accept laws that protect me (like the california law that did not allow me to buy a small turtle because someone might put it in their mouth and get sick from the germs - true story).

I looked into the Libertairan party. They seem to match up with many of my thoughts, but then they seem to take things too far.
