They were AMAZING.
Of course that would immediately take a back seat if I ever got to see my dream show :The Beach Boys with John Stamos pounding the skins.

I'm going to say The Allman Brothers at the Syracuse War Memorial in 1990......Dickie was still with them.

Kris Kristofferson in the 70s - I was in row three and it was as if he was singing to me and he was hot back then
pure rock concert was either Nirvana (last US tour) with the Breeders and Shonen Knife or U2 Joshua Tree tour |

I've been to The Stones. I've been to Metallica. I've been to several other big concerts.
But the BEST concert I ever went to was...believe it or not...CREED. They really rocked the shit. |

I saw U2 back then.
I remember the opening act (Lone Justice) sounded worse than anyone I have ever seen. |

My personal favorite was Sonic Youth's set at Lollapalooza '95 (I think). Smoked some good pot and snuck into the pit. They turned into astronauts,
maaaan. I was young and dumb.

Probably a tie between Prince - Lovesexy tour 88 in Oakland and the 2001 Montreal Jazz Fest show.

Loki wrote: Yes, you would be correct. Out of the MANY concerts I've seen, the Test for Echo tour was amazing, but the BEST was their Vapor Trails tour. The band really hit its prime with that show, IMO. I would have to say though, that the absolute, most moving concert I've ever seen was Mahler's 5th Symphony performed by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra with Sir Gorge Solti conducting at Hill Auditorium in Ann Arbor. Life-altering. |

Chicago, 5th row on the floor at the Spectrum. 1985 I think. Peter Cetera hit me in the face with a stuffed animal and then mouthed 'sorry' to me.

Two choices:
U2 at Camp Randall for the Pop Mart Tour -or- Great Big Sea at the Barrymore Theatre (Madison) because the crowd was so into the show |

June 10, 1977 Led Zepellin at Madison Square Garden. My first concert, I think it cost me $25 for the ticket. I'd easily pay $1500 for another chance to
see them, probably more.
