Don Davis, who played the cantankerous father-figure of the Stargate SG-1, Major General George Hammond, passed away on June 29.

One of the guys at my post office is named George Hammond, I always salute him when I go through there. |

Oh fuck. I've just been having a Stargate marathon where all I've done for the last few days is watch dvd's of the show, and I just finished
watching the ep "1969" where they went back and met General Hammond 30 years before. He's always been such a cool character, one of my
favourites.

Never watched SG, so I remember him as Major Garland Briggs of Twin Peaks. Wasn't he also Scully's dad?
