A true DESIGNER. Much more than the others....that's why he won. Sure, he has to cater to his client, but in this case the client was himself. It was his house to design how he wanted. And it was brilliant. He admitted from the moment the sarcofagous entered the room that it was wrong, and the judges were right, he should have had it removed but damn him for being a nice guy? I'm glad the judges gave him a pass on that. Who wants their designer to be an ass? Eddie's clients do, I guess.

I don't find Nathan's style to be eclectic in the least --- he looks for odd or unusual things and just throws them in a room. His snotty teen age girl bedroom was a mess. Endive had the most creative house (except I hated the girl's bedroom, especially the Georgio of Hollywood stripes on the walls). And Preston is good but tame. I agree with iconic potter dude that he needed more bright colors.

The only guy I remember from season 1 is Ryan (the artist that made the cat walk room) and that is only because I know his sister IRL. I actually liked Ondine's house the best - loved the pink/zebra room but Nathan's was the most innovative. Preston's was boring. PS. Someone please tell Natalie to wear a supportive bra because those puppies were flopping out again.

I thought the paper plate chandelier looked cool. I didn't like everything he did, but I think he was the most out there/risk taker. And most of his stuff worked. He didn't fall into one mold or copy himself. And he's got such a damn cute smile :) (But he did look really dorky as a kid!)

Schlep means to carry, usually in reference to something heavy or cumbersome. Schtuping is what Andrea does to Ricky. I liked Ondine's aesthetic. I would live in Preston's house. I thought Nathan's was the worst. I found it odd that none of the rooms throughout ever looked like the stuff I see in Architectural Digest, or other homes magazines. I expected more accessories, more interesting fabrics. Maybe there was a budget or time issue....

Tough girl, Andrea. Got to admit that all the rooms looked great in the finale. The extra time and people showed. Very talented bunch. But the rooms didn't seem to come across on TV as well as they could have. Maybe they should shoot in High Def next time- throw in a few panning shots. Last Edited By: victalac 11/06/08 6:47 AM. Nathan's house looked like a fucking clown car and that's precisely why Johnny and his iconic pots loved it. It looked like a stupid set from a Rick Moranis movie. Could anyone imaging living there? If you walked into a person's home and it looked like that you'd think that person was mentally retarded. - Nathan's 'foyer' - ok, so Kelly the Playboy skank turned ultra fab designer says 'no one uses their living rooms' - yeah, in a big house with no family room. That was a relatively small townhome. There was a couple of bedrooms, a kitchen/dining room/tiny family room. What about a fucking TV - people live around a TV. That's life. Nathan took a large room that could have been used for entertaining and seating and TV viewing by the homeowner and turned it into a the entry of a car dealership. HORRIBLE use of space. Like Margaret and her helmet hair said 'served no purpose' - Preston - ok, this fucking guy won. Deal. Sure he's a 'one trick pony', but that's what everyone is. Ondine decorated in her crazy ass style. Nathan decorated in his clown style and Preston did his chic style. When you give people challenges like that, they are gonna gravitate to what they are comfortable with. If 'one trick pony' isn't what you are after, then MAKE a challenge about a style - that is, give them a theme - Nathan gets Mission, Ondine gets Cape Cod, Preston gets Provence, etc. Preston's home looked straight out of the pages of a magazine. It looked adult, it looked classy and it looked professional. - Swimming - WTF with Andrea in a wifebeater and shorts??!?! I'm thinking that she probably didnt pack a swimsuit, but I would not have minded seeing her in a bikini. As for Natalie, ok, we get it, you have huge tits. But you have huge everything else. You are fat. You're not 'big boned', you're not 'healthy', you're a fat ass. You can't fool us sister - you can't wear clothes that skinny chicks like Andrea would wear. Andrea has 4 kids and is in her late 30's and looks 400x better than your fat lazy 24 year old ass. - I'd love to see a pop challenge in which each of these fuck nuts has to throw a football. I'm not convinced they can. The judges clearly got it wrong on this one. The judged on 'Most Creative Designer', not 'Top Design.

Preston has lots of taste but no drama. He was simply too safe. He was out. Nathan was whimsical and risky but most of his risks paid off. There weren't many big errors, including the sarcophagus. A certain clientele would have LOVED that huge, heavy useless piece...

I was giving some potential reasons why the fabrics reeked. They had 3 days, but they could have purchased nicer fabrics. They were given movers and carpenters. Could they have had upholsterers? There are ways to get better looks in a house, but I dont "do" design, so maybe time did affect their ability to order a decent fabric on a new piece of furniture.
