How do you go out to clubs/bars and get wasted and still manage to get home (safely)? I've always wondered this...how people can get plastered in say, LA
or any other major city without good public transit. Do you cab it? Wouldn't that be ass expensive?
It just begs the question why anyone would live in LA or such if they wanted to be a partier. |

Los Angeles does have a subway system...and they built it in just SEVEN YEARS!!!

Simple.
I don't party. But when I did (and when I lived in LA) I either drank moderately so I could drive or someone else I was with drank moderately. It's not that hard. I also had a friend that didn't drink, for a while. That was convenient. |

Cabs aren't that expensive, and I'd rather pass out in a cab on the way home than on the L.

not everyone is too poor to afford cabs. but yeah, i can't imagine living away from the city hub with public transport. driving icks me out.

It sucked when I lived in my old house, but where I moved to a year ago and live now there's a few pretty nice clubs/bars within walking distance.

Designated driver (usually tends to be me, I usually have 1 or 2 drinks). Or we take a cab, it's like $8-10 for the area we usually go to.

DD or a cab. A nice military perk is that they make guys stay back to drive the drunk van. So we'd drive downtown and call the van to come and get us when
we wanted to go home. We'd get the car the next day.
