Nobody?
I wish someone knew. I want deviled eggs, but I've never made them before. |

Here's 4 for ya....
6 eggs, hard boiled, cooled, and peeled 2 tablespoons mayonnaise 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard 1 teaspoon white wine vinegar 1 teaspoon finely chopped chives Hot pepper sauce Paprika Salt and pepper Variation: add 1 teaspoon chopped canned jalapeno peppers 4 radicchio leaves, for garnish 3 parsley sprigs, for garnish Place the cooked egg yolks in a bowl. Using a fork, work the mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, chives, and salt and pepper into the yolks to form a smooth paste. Taste. Place 1/2 of this mixture in a small pastry bag with a large star tip. To the remaining mixture, add the jalapenos and season with Hot pepper sauce. Fill 6 of the egg halves with the basic filling. Fill the pastry bag with the jalapeno filling. Fill the remaining egg white halves. Top with paprika. Place on a platter on the radicchio leaves, and parsley sprigs.
12 eggs, hard boiled 2/3 cups mayonnaise 4 tablespoons mustard 4 tablespoons sweet pickle relish Salt and pepper 1/4 teaspoon hot red pepper sauce Paprika, for garnish Peel and cut eggs in half, lengthwise. Remove the yolks into a bowl and mash them. Add 1/3 cup mayonnaise, mustard, sweet pickle relish, salt and pepper, to taste, and hot red pepper sauce. Mix all the ingredients together. The texture needs to be firm enough to either pipe back into egg halves with a pastry bag or you can use a spoon. You may need to add the additional 1/3 cup of mayonnaise. You can also add more mustard depending on your taste. After yolk mixture is added back to eggs, sprinkle tops with paprika.

SoakingInIt wrote: My deviled-egg recipe. Ingredients: A dozen Eggs Miracle whip Mustard Apple Cider Vinegar Sweet Relish Nature's Seasonings Instructions: Hard boil eggs, at least five minutes, more if you want them really done. Cool and peel eggs. Cut in halves length-wise Empty yolks into a medium sized bowl, Set egg whites to the side Add about three tablespoons Miracle Whip (use less for drier eggs, more for creamier eggs. One tablespoon or less mustard. (Depends on how much you like mustard.) Two to three capfuls of Vinegar (Depends on how sour you like 'em) Two tablespoons of Relish Mash ingredients with a potato masher or use a food processor or mixer if you like them whipped Scoop out by teaspoon fulls and fill egg whites Sprinkle tops with Nature Seasonings. To be honest, I'm not this accurate on measurements, I just put in enough of everything until it looks right. Practice makes perfect. My family loves these. I usually have to double the recipe on holidays just for my daughter and hubby. And if you decide you love 'em, I recommend getting a deviled egg keeper. Love mine cause I can whip them up the day before ifn' I want or carry them to parties and what not. eta: Well, there's Dugie being all professional and stuff. Humpf.

My dear darling Rom your recipe is from the heart so mine pale in comparison as they are only from the food network....

tdugan333 wrote: Awww. It's okay. I know my recipe is SUPERIOR to the Food Networks cause most of the time when I make them, I got the family standing around like vultures to scoop them out of my devilled egg keeper as fast as I put them in there. I kid you not. There have been Thanksgivings and Christmases when they made store runs for more eggs because the greedy piggies don't save any for me! I've learned to make them ahead of time and hide them. It's the only way they're safe until dinner is served. |

Thank you both! =D
Question: I don't have sweet relish, only dill. Would they be ok with that instead? |

Ok, I'll try that! I'm waiting for the eggs to cool now. I'm very excited!
Mr. Soaking will be so proud when he wakes up. I rarely cook. Hmmm. I only have white vinegar. Is that ok? Never mind, I see above that it's ok. |

Normally I cannot stand Miracle Whip but my mother used it in her egg salad and devlied eggs so now I cannot make either without it. I can always tell when they're made with mayo...they just don't taste the same. My mom's devlied egg recipe is similar to yours except we don't add vinegar, relish or seasonings..exept for salt & pepper. We always top ours with a halved green olive. Yum...I must go make some now. |

I cannot wait to see what the Baby Dexters do LOL Im back and forth on Deb ......I rooted for him to kill her and then was glad he didnt . She serves the story line well for him . She is a Harry Light , as in like a Bud Light . I am so ready for the new season to start . Jimmy Smitts will be on 11 of the episodes . Hoping that Dexter does not kill him <3 I love Jimmy too . |

Interesting that Michael and Jennifer are a couple in real life, must be weird to play bro/sis and then date.
Jimmy Smits is going to be a good addition I think. The last book sucked IMO. I get most of my Dex stuff from sho.com or made for me. Or the Dexter myspazz site. |
