Everyone has a chance. Her chances dropped way low for no fault of her own though

Alright, I knew I had a different opinion than most people about it, but I'm not going to argue about it.

She was put in a group with Stacy, who she had been ok with on Moto, Dreamz, who despised Stacy, Mookie, who was a former ally before the swap. How is that the worst combination possible? If you really want to say she was screwed, blame it on Yau and Earl for not throwing the challenge, not by the people in her group because she could have easily survived made it out of there.X People fail to remember that Michelle was SAFE. She screwed up her TC answers, which was amplified because Dreamz is a twat who changes his mind on a dime, but she was SAFE. She was not screwed over. She had a very good shot at staying. Several others have been screwed in worse positions by swaps in survivor history. Aaron was 10x more screwed over than Michelle was. Also agree on not understanding the vast amount of love she gets, but thats a different story. |

No takers to explain why Michelle has such a huge fan club? And at least someone agrees with me. You guys do realize that, yes, I did like the Fiji Demerge,
but there's still 17 twists that are in front of it.

Ok, I've obviously been much busier than when I started this list, so sorry about the couple days wait. Hopefully I can get the next update up tonight, and
if not, they'll be up tomarrow for sure.

17. 11 Mile Hike
Seasons: Guatemala Memorable Quote: "The last time I hiked 11-miles was never." -Brandon Here's the much better of the two twists from the start of Guatemala. Right after Steph and Bobby Jon jumped into the game, Jeff told the castaways that they'd be having their first challenge right now, an eleven mile hike. Now, we've had challenges right off the bat in Pearl Islands and Palau (and the Pearl Islands one may be the best challenge of all time), but this was completely original and completely shocking to the Guatamala castaways. Nakum won by a very slim margain in relation to the length of the challenge, and Margaret got her chance to shine when all of the guys except Brandon dropped dead. I still think it's funny that Nakum had by far the strongest guys in the game, yet they were all down and out while the girls had to do all of stuff around camp. There's not much to write about here, but the "What the hell is going on" factor and the actual challenge itself is enough to put it this high. 16. Reward winners kidnap
Seasons: China Memorable Quote: "We got quite a bit of good information from Leslie but it was more in a kind of fun girls gossiping. You can get the same results but you can do them in a happy, nice way." -Peih-Gee I'm a huge fan of two tribes mingling, and I liked the China kidnapping twist alot. It wasn't like the other times it happened in PI or CI because they didn't skip tribal council, but one member of the reward winners choice would spend a day with them. It had some great moments like the Jaime/Leslie alliance, Dave scaring the crap out of everyone on Fei Long, and the whole idol fiasco. Sure, it might seem a little ridiculous that half of the time it happened, the person who left was the one kidnapped, but that is because Leslie blabbed and Crazy Dave was, well, crazy. Either way, I liked the way that no one was told about the idols and how the clues were given, but the fact that it played too much of a role in the season brings this one down for me. Again, there's not much to write because this was more of a great concept than anything else. 15. Vanuatu Double Boot
Seasons: Vanuatu Memorable Quote: "I think that me and Julie and Lisa and Eliza are going to be voting for Twila. And I'm pretty sure that Leann and Amy and Twila and Scout will be voting for me tonight." -Mia Mia's assessment was dead on...well, almost. I've already discussed how much I hate the double boot twist overall, but I will admit that the first time it was thrown into play during Vanuatu, it wasn't bad at all. Yes, it definitely killed character development, and (as shown on Solitary 2.0) it robbed us of what could have been a great character in John P. by the guys still having to go to tribal council (after having won the challenge) which is why it doesn't make it any higher. Also, the reason that the producers brought it back again and again was because it worked out so well in Vanuatu. Looking back, that really sucks, but I was still able to enjoy it take place. What happened was that Jeff announced that the challenge would not be for immunity, but reward, and the two tribes would both be going to tribal council. This in itself was great just because it was the first time it happened, and everyone was dumbfounded. Now, everyone just says "whatever, let's do this shit" because they are expecting twists (This is all except for Ozzy because he was such a big fan of the show that he was the only one confused when Probst announced it in Cook Islands). Also, the winning tribe would get a chance to all compete for immunity which is much fairer than what happened when the other tribe had the chance to save someone in Palau, Guatamala, and Cook Islands. Now, the guy's tribe won, and Mr. Boring himself won immunity, AND the right to go to the girls camp to mingle and give immunity to one of them at tribal council. I'm a huge fan of the two tribes communicating in some way when they show it on air. Most cases in recent seasons, they just show Nate bitch about how much Aitu sucks for 30 seconds, that's it. Luckily for us, they showed John K. communicating with the girls (and calling Eliza annoying, haha), but the best part of it was the fact that the Yasur was in shambles. They had just voted off Dolly in a 5-4 vote. There was arguing, yelling, complaining because of a huge split in the tribe. Add on to the fact that everyone was begging John to give them immunity, and you get a great episode. In the end, John K. gave immunity to Ami (because he didn't realize who she was I guess), and Lisa switched her vote sending Mia home in a 5-3 vote. I was happy that she left because Twila was entertaining as hell, and I really enjoyed the episode. Maybe it's because they spent almost zero time forcusing on the boring Lopevi tribal council, but this was the only time the double boot twist worked out. I'm still wishing that CBS has gotten rid of it forever, but I doubt it especially if we have another 20 person season. Edited a few times to fix a bunch of grammatical errors.

Here are the 14 that remain. Any guesses to which don't make the top 10?
Ambassadors/Merging at new camp (Borneo-Thailand) Person with more past votes leaves in a tie (Australia, Africa) Tribal Swap (Africa, Marquesas, Amazon, All Stars, Vanuatu, Guatemala, Exile Island, Cook Islands, Fiji, China, Micronesia) Reward winners "raid" enemy camp (Marquesas, Pearl Islands) Ability to give up individual immunity (Marquesas-Micronesia) Men vs. Women (Amazon, Vanuatu) Reward winner is given a choice to either allow everyone else but themselves to win reward or keep it for themselves. (Amazon, Guatemala) All Stars return (All Stars) Three tribes (All Stars) Everyone starts together as one tribe (Palau, Fiji) HII (play before the vote) (Guatemala) Two people sent to Exile Island, one from each tribe (Micronesia) Eight people jury (Micronesia) Final 3 is really a final 2 (Micronesia) |

Just based on what you've said in previous write-ups, I'd guess the next four out are:
Reward winner is given a choice to either allow everyone else but themselves to win reward or keep it for themselves. (Amazon, Guatemala): Because of how bad of a position it puts the winner in. Everyone starts together as one tribe (Palau, Fiji): Kills character development, and if you've ever played an ORG, this twist is fucking annoying. HII (play before the vote) (Guatemala): You don't like the HII and this is basically just an extra regular immunity. Eight people jury (Micronesia): Possibility of a tie and a completely random number of jurors. |

Totally agree on Michelle. Who the hell was this person? Its like the Angie love in BB10. I just don't get it. And people here actually wanted her to
be on FvsF! @_@ I absolutely despised that twist though because I hate late merges, and thats exactly what it was. For all intents and purposes, they
didn't merge until 9 in Fiji, it was a tribal switch at 10.
I hate Vanuatu's double boot ep for the same reason I hate all double boot eps, it takes away an entire episode and essentially kills half if not more of the double boot episode itself due to the complicated challenge and two tribal councils, so character development takes a huge hit. BTW, Guatemala also had the winners compete for individual immunity, which is definately the fairest way to go about things in that scenario IMHO. |

Quiddity wrote: I hate most late merges as well, but I can't hate Fiji's just because I like the concept of an actual demerge (at 8, or 10 if there was an early
merge) psyching the players out too much.

I hope Final 3 is really Final Two and Eight Person jury go out before 10.
I also very much enjoyed the China kidnapping twist. |

I liked the first double boot a lot. It came early enough that it got rid of some fodder and unbloated the cast.

I just rewatched the first episode of Guatemala and I LOVED the trek. It was such a good opener to the game. If only the premiere was 90 minutes...
