That's fine and fair EXCEPT for the fact that what happens if say Ravu wins? They get the same message? Are you fucking kidding me? For winning one challenge, they would get to move camps and keep people safe.
I wasn't a big fan of this one either, but IIRC it was either vote somebody out or go to the luxury camp. So if Ravu had won, they could have moved camps only if they decided to give up immunity and vote out another member--or they could keep immunity but they would have to stay at their own camp. I don't remember exactly how the note was phrased, but I don't think it said anything about switching camps; only that the winners could give up immunity if they wanted to go to the luxury beach.
The note said that you have the choice to give up your camp, or you can give up immunity. That means if Ravu won, they would switch camps and keep immunity.
I always thought it would've been more interesting if the losers of the first challenge got the luxury camp. The tribes could decide whether or not it was worth losing the first IC to keep the camp in future rounds. It would've been hysterical to see two tribes both trying to throw the first challenge.
Agreed, but Survivor has always been about winning everything or nothing. It would have been a better immunity challenge, but it still wouldn't have
made the season or pre merge any better.
Even though in retrospect the Panama/CI idol was way too powerful, I have to admit that when they revealed the way it worked, I was prepping up for an awesome moment when someone played it. Obviously CI proved that it made more sense to reveal that you had it instead of keeping it a secret, but I really can't blame the producers too much for not realizing that ahead of time. It was just something like the late merge that looked good on paper but the dynamics ensured it would play out poorly.
It helped out Terry as well (by accident though). He told Danielle, and she spread the word. No one would have been willing to vote him out even if he did lose immunity. We just didn't get to see any of those strategy sessions. And honestly, I didn't like the idea when it first came out because it didn't seem possible to vote out the person who won it. I thought they would make it almost impossible to find (which would make it a pretty good twist), but they want ratings and the way they did it as a whole didn't work out for me at all. The Guatemala one worked out great, they should've just brought that one back instead of over powering it.
Edited for spelling
