A lot of agencies (at least in IL) won't allow a white couple to adopt a child of color...even if the child is partially/mostly white. It's stupid. I know a lot of people who have gone overseas for this very reason.

They had to buy her diapers, baby clothes, toys, etc etc etc. She didn't think it was fair that a mother of 5 kids at the shower was kinda pissed about the whole shower.

Posts: 24952 (07/11/08 10:06 AM) put Angel in the corner Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	The main reason my sil adopted her non-tarded children from Russia was she was seeing the news reports that were all over the tv at the time of these fathers who all of a sudden decided they wanted their kid 3-4 years after they had been adopted and the courts were siding with the biological parents. The other issue was their age, being in their mid 40's at the time a lot of potential babymama's thought they were too old. My niece and nephew are awesome. My sil....not so much, but that's another story.
