There are plenty of children in the US that need homes. If they didn't require a very young baby, then why not go domestic? Of course a lot of the US kids aren't white, so maybe that was the problem.
A childless friend decided she would like to foster teenaged girls so that she could give them something solid, send them to college and give them a shot at
a decent future. Of course, children's services doesn't really ever give you want you want, and she is now the very happy adoptive mother of three (two
came to her as infants) imperfect, unwanted, not lily white daughters. She must be the baby whisperer, though, because two that were thought to be too damaged
from neglect to be normal, are thriving and growing into fabulously smart and charming kids. The third, who was not a baby, had lots of emotional issues.
She's also doing very well. The end.
It is going to be interesting watching these 2 sisters grow up and what they will look like as they get older. Her natural born
kid started walking at SEVEN months. Amazing kid.
