Although I am still a tad nervous, let's start looking ahead here...
F4 HOH is pivotal. As mentioned before, in essence, all it truly signifies is that you are immune for the week. Padre can put Jerry up there and then hopefully think of some asinine excuse for why he is putting Keesha up opposed to Memphis. Also, with the way this Jury is shaping up, Dan needs to rack up as many wins as he can to have some bullet points other then the "I outplayed you card" if he gets to F2. Basically, as long as Padre can pull HOH out, the Danwagon is forging on to F3. And if it does indeed happen, at that point I don't care who goes next week because honestly, I don't think Dan's chances are that much better against one HG then they are against another when it comes down to the Jury vote. Let's hope Memphis uses this POV and then Padre can score some more points as the stretch run starts to heat up. |

If Dan ended up in second or third place, how much money would he get?
I rarely watch the last few weeks of any Big Brother season because my favorites usually aren't in the finals. |

Sigh, can Dan win this game at all? I first thought he could...but it seems like it's almost impossible that he can win. Unless he can talk his way to
convince the jury and the other person sux ass similar to Amanda from Survivor.

How can anyone hate Dan? I even think he likes and respects Jerry outside of this game. The people in the house hates him simply because they play this game
too personal meanwhile Dan knows that this is a game! He handled it well with Jerry's Judas verbal abuse cause he knew it's just a game. He knows
that he's playing a game and he's having fun with it meanwhile the others are just totally miserable.

I can see why people wouldn't like him. His political views will have an influence (I don't care about political views outside of the game -- aside
from BB8 Jen, who had no political views that I can remember, many of my favorite players had views I probably wouldn't agree with in real life). He's
very earnest and has a bit of a tin ear socially. He's not as good a player as he thinks he is. He's also a very easy option. At the start of the
season, he was probably one of the most hated. There's also the whole Catholic element, which I get, although I think in some cases it's more of an
excuse for some (especially in the house -- seeing April, of all people, lecture about what makes a good Catholic was one of the more delusional moments of the
season).
I also see him criticized for thinking America loves him. Maybe he does, but if he does, he's never said so (unlike April, Ollie, Michelle, among others). He may think he's a mastermind or that people get a kick out of him, but he's never said America must hate Jerry because Jerry doesn't like him (he's said Jerry probably comes across well on TV), he's never said he will be voted back in by America, he's been able to admit when some of his plans didn't go over very well. Then there are the insults like Michelle accusing him of molesting students, which basically said she had no valid criticisms of him, so she went for the cheapest shot. I like Dan because he's always thinking, maybe not always in the right direction, but the wheels are always turning. He has fun in the house, he's patient, he doesn't start in with the ugly attacks against others, no matter how they treat him, and in the end he knows this is only a game. He seems to have a very happy life outside of the house and that's shown in his gameplay, because for the most part, his gameplay hasn't been based on insecurities, on wanting to get laid, or wanting to be a cool kids. I feel sorry for him because I think he may not be fully prepared for just how insane some of the others in the house turned out to be, and what they have said about him, but he wanted to be on BB, and that's part of BB. I think he's rolled with the punches in the house remarkably well and he's one of the people who has moved the show away from freak show territory. His gameplay hasn't been perfect, but has been underrated (the veto mess will always be used as an example of why he'll lose, but I think if he gets to F2 and loses, being friends with Brian and voting out Jessie are the main reasons why). I enjoy watching him operate and trying to figure out what he'll say or do next, and have that in reference to game moves, not a screaming match or a threat. There's just something likeable about him, to me, a good combination of what I like most in a player. I don't know how much longer he'll be in the game, but I'm glad he'll at least presumably get to spend his birthday knowing he's off the block and still having a good chance of getting to F2. Then if he's there, if he loses, he can watch the MOJA bunch twist themselves into a self-righteous pretzel one last time as he gets 50K. |

Urgh, it's almost gaurantee that Mampshit will be F2, now that he has all three agreed to bring him into F3. Unless those 3 compare notes which I doubt,
Mempshit is in F2 if he throws all the HOH/POV challenges. It sux that fat ass will be the first car winner always wins the game. I don't know why Dan
thinks he has a chance to go against him. Dan only has Renny's vote so far...unless he can sway the other Jury's votes...

I think Dan knows he's playing for 2nd, but he's said he'd rather lose to Memphis than to someone who hasn't done much in the game, so
that's why I think he plans to bring Memphis to the finals.

Dan seemed to be getting closer to Keesha, but his real F2 always seemed to be Memphis. Now the question becomes whether they will all work together to get rid
of Jerry at F4 or if they will use him to take each other out. I think at this point Dan probably feels he was seen as betraying enough people and if he
didn't take Memphis that would be the final betrayal.
Keesha has a better chance in F2 with Dan than Memphis, but now that she's made a deal with Memphis, I can't see her breaking it. I would like to see MKD go to F3 and then, if Memphis wants to throw it, that's up to him. I like Memphis, but I would laugh if he threw it and then they took each other to F2. Since no one this season compares notes, probably won't happen. |

JB, I liked your post on hating and liking Dan, but you forgot the main reason why a few misguided morons hate on Dan. It's because Dan
(deservedly) gets A LOT of support in the LFD thread. That's it. There's very little in gameplay or social play in the house that they
can attack Dan for. Heck, most of his supporters have been questioning some of his antics like the roulette POV thing. But we also praise and like Dan for a
lot of other stuff he does in the house.
It gets really pathetic when these dumbass Dan haters have to start "cheering" for low-life players like Michelle and Ollie and even Jerry, just because they are on opposing alliances to Dan's alliance. ED has his fans but his haters had A LOT of material to work with. Same for BB8's Jen. And BB9's Natalie. Dan does not give his haters very much to work with at all. And it pisses them off. |
