Totally agree...what the hell were they thinking? Now we're going to see some really entertainingly bad collections.

Ugh, from reading the posts I had a really bad feeling so I spoiled myself and it was just as I figured.
So robbed I could care less about the finale now. |

Not to sound like a broken record... but Lui leaving over Petrova was sheer bullshit.
And designers, giant collars are NOT edgy. They're just ugly. |

Unfortunately, it seems to be the way of most "judged" Australian shows. Total robbage. He was by far the most talented designer there. And she
wasn't.

I've let it sink in now, and it's still just such utter, utter bullshit that they would cut Lui now, of all times. They could have justified it if
he'd gone out on the Kelly Rowlands gold disco disaster challenge - I figured he would be a lock for the final three after he survived that because it
really was his potential keeping him in rather than that truly hideous outfit. So why cut him at the last opportunity before he could go ahead and wow everyone
with his runway show? When his outfit was clearly not the worst one on the runway? I just don't get it.
As much as I liked Petrova, at least at first, her wedding dress was an absolute turd and she should have been the easiest, most predictable boot of the season. Even if it wasn't for the glue down the front, the design was terrible - that giant collar was always going to look bad, but it looked even worse than I thought it would the way it was hanging so limply. On top of that the bridesmaid's outfit didn't either match, or look decent at all. I really don't see what the huge problem was with Lui's dress - actually I thought it looked kinda awesome in motion with the shoulder train flowing. Not as good when the model was still, but still worlds better than Petrova's. I liked it more than Juli's too, but at least I could see that hers was executed well. Anyway, I'll try to cut this rant short (although it's already kinda long..) but I really think that was the most unfair elimination I've ever seen on PR. It's so frustrating to lose Lui just before the finale, I'm sure his line would have been amazing. I'm not really anticipating anyone else's - I like Leigh as a character, but none of his designs have really impressed me. Juli's stuff is really hit-and-miss, and she's boring. And will all of Petrova's models have to take off their outfits, pull them inside out and put them back on at the end of the runway in her show? I liked her for a while but I just don't care to see any more of her stuff, especially when it's so obvious she's in the spot Lui should have had. Eh, I'll watch the finale, of course, but it's suddenly a lot less interesting. But are they going to do a reunion? I'd like to see what Helen's reaction is to some of the comments made about her - she was definitely the Wendy Pepper of the season. |

What a crock of shit. If anything, they should have done a final 4. Lui's dress was really nice looking when she was walking holding the train. Even
standing there, there was no comparison between his and Petrova's hideous collar thing. I'm shocked none of the judges even pointed out that the
stupid collar thing was just sagging down the runway. I wasn't a huge fan of girl i always forget her name's dress. It was well done, but I thought
the colours were ugly. I just couldn't really see a bride in it. Anyway.. booo on the judging. Lui should have won the whole damn thing.

Oh, Lui!
I usually don't care much about who wins or who goes on reality shows, but Lui not making F3 is really fucked up.

I don't even know if they get to show at a fashion week, since they prize they mentioned is being able to show at the 2009 Melbourne Fashion Week. I think
their collections might just be on display for the judges so that a winner can be determined from them.
Honestly, I'm not that broken up about Lui's elimination. I feel like if he didn't know what a wedding dress should look like, he should have gone out and bought a bridal magazine or something. I still think he's one of the most talented designers there, but could definitely benefit from some more experience. He's been on a downward trend these past few episodes anyway, so it was totally unsurprising that he was cut. I didn't realize there'd be so much outrage here in the thread! |

I don't know about the Australian version, but you'd never be allowed out to go "buy a magazine or something" on the US version. They're
barely allowed out of their rooms. I doubt this version is much different. Remember what's-his-name getting eliminated for having some kind of books in
his luggage?
Lui wasn't just an awesome designer, he was cool, and very humble. It was a nice change from the usual delusional contestants on these shows. |

Well, I'm still bitter.
Julie- Imelda Marcos would be proud. Why the hell is she on this show? Petrova- I guess we know why they wanted her back on the show and in the finale now, her dad was a famous designer. Lee- What the hell? I'm not getting him at all. Should design furniture. Lui- Please come back. This show sucks now. |

I just meant that if your job is in fashion and you're an aspiring fashion designer, shouldn't you be checking out anything and everything that the
competition has to offer, including bridal? Unless Lui has lived under a rock all his life (and yes, I get he is from a foreign culture, but they have weddings
too, right?) then he should have had at least some idea of what to expect in a challenge like this. That's all. Off to watch the new eppy, kthnx.

Wasn't there something about some bitch on a reality show with a Bedazzler?
That's Petrova's fugly clothes. |

I was really unimpressed with Petrova all season, but I thought her collection was fun. I wouldn't hate it if she won.
Leigh's one balerina skirt with the tooling that went on for miles was awesome. Color me UN-surprised that he's sending a man in a kilt down the runway though. Perverted homo. Why are the designers on foreign seasons allowed to do their final collection with menswear? Juli's $40,000 worth of shoes, organized in boxes with the picture of the shoe printed out and affixed to the side |

I'm still bitter too, especially after seeing Petrova's collection. So. Fug. That green leather jacket.
Juli's stuff looks alright, if a little unimpressive, just like most of what she made in the challenges. And it was hard to tell with Leigh's if it'll be really good or incredibly bad - I guess it all depends on how it all fits together and looks like in motion. I liked the patterns and the colours he was using though, and I hope he'll win because he's the only one in the final three I really like. But I kinda expect Juli to take it, too. |

Grbac is the new Brkich - where my vowels at?
I like Petrova, but that beaded monstrosity is terrifying. I wanted someone to grab a sharp object and begin attacking it. There were so many ruffles in Leigh's collection, sometimes I think he just needs to tone down the frill. Yes, he wants to be a bridal designer (similar to Austin Scarlett) but you're not debuting a bridal collection on ProjRun. Juli's...eh, didn't leave much of an impression on me. I'm actually completely underwhelmed by the finalists, but maybe the actual show will wow me. I hope the surprise is something interesting as well instead of something stupid like the "make another entirely new outfit" surprise in PR2. |
