No CBR, beans and rice and not fattening unless maybe you cover it with expensivecheese, you seem to always want to disagree with me. You also don't have
to eat the beans and rice together. Beans are not fattening at all! They are one of the most nutritional foods around high in fiber (not carbs) and protien.
Whatever CBR, I studied nutrition in college. Believe what you want. Anyway those 2 are obviously not concerned about being fat.

Sorry, but bullshit. Even frozen veggies are cheaper and healthier than fatty, prepackaged foods.

If you have access to a store that sells them.

Ya I guess if you live in the 1930s it would be rather tough to find frozen food.

Give me a break, Zeep come on. That is just ridiculous. If you have access to a store with MEAT and JUNK FOOD you have access to veges and friuts.
You guys are stupid! Not you Merkyl! :) |

There are 12 grocery stores within a 10 mile radius of the new house. Only four sell frozen foods. We LOVE frozen fruit, but none of the groceries near us
sells them. Yes, I can freeze my own fruit but only what is in season.
If the poster who is practically my next door neighbour knows where I can go for frozen fruit would PM me I'd really appreciate it. I've been getting my veg at the stand in front of the flea market. Cheap, fresh, local! Most of it picked that morning or the day before. |

That's why you have to get it at the flea market!

Grocery stores that don't sell fresh OR frozen vegetables? Huh?
Where do you people live? I have lived in Texas and Colorado, and traveled to most other states, and I don't ever recall seeing a grocery store that doesn't sell both. Unless you consider 7-11's and Circle K's to be grocery stores, I suppose. |

Yeah, I must live a sheltered life. I have never seen a grocery store that doesn't sell fruit and vegetables, both fresh and frozen, as well as canned.
But on a side note, one of the nurses I work with has a 95 year old mother who STILL DRIVES (it scares her daughter to death), but she drives around to bakeries and stores and collects all their food that is just about to go out of date and redistributes it to people who need it. So this nurse is always bringing in huge trays of Krispy Kreme doughnuts that her mother collects for free (not that we at the hospital NEED things, but she collects so much she can't even give it all away to her needy friends, and of course the food banks won't take almost out dated food.) |
