what is this 'maenaed' thign??!?!?
And OK I remember something about one of the earlier waitresses getting killed and then later showing up in the bar behind Sam or something? I REMEMBER some scene like that. Like she came back as a zombie or something. Did they ever address that? and WHY is the cajun guy the killer? I hope he's not. There hasn't been any alluding to it or anything. LAME. I liked him too. |

I'll repost the maenad info again. Maenads were the inspired and frenzied female worshippers of Dionysus, the Greek god of mystery, wine, and intoxication, the Roman god Bacchus. Their name literally translates as "raving ones". They were known as wild, insane women who could not be reasoned with. The mysteries of Dionysus inspired the women to ecstatic frenzy; they indulged in copious amounts of violence, bloodletting, sexual activity, self-intoxication, and mutilation. They were usually pictured as crowned with vine leaves, clothed in fawnskins and carrying the thyrsus, and dancing with wild abandon. The Maenads are the most significant members of the Thiasus, the retinue of Dionysus. |

See archie, that is a hint as to who she is and how she's going to play out. They are kinda sorta following the books but nobody knows for sure just how
much they are going to in season two, so nobody is all that willing to come out and say much about what she really is going to do for in and about the series.
Fun part about that is you can let your imagination go wild with what you have already seen of her.

Just read this on Ain't It Coole News. The first line of the Twilight review
If Bela Lugosi's Dracula was the cool, stark single malt scotch of vampire films, and Near Dark its Kentucky sour mash, then Twilight would be its Zima, or perhaps the Bartles & Jaymes of undead filmmaking. |

Thank you Mar, that was a great link. Confirmed what we already suspected and knew....wonder what the rest will be?? I'm so excited for tomorrow !
Wholly Shit McW what a kick ass article about Nelsan. I loved that, on;y thing I didn't like was that it wasn't longer. Poor guy has been through it, now, hasn't he? Guess we know some of what he draws from in some of his more intense scenes. Whatever the case, he's an amazing actor and I love what he's done with the character they have given him on True Blood, I hope he's a break out super star from this. |

A couple of things: Alan Ball directed the finale. It should be awesome.
A new preview for the finale will be airing during Geraldo At Large on Fox - 7pm and repeated again 9pm on the west coast. I bet it'll get posted around on youtube later tonight. I found a youtube interview with Alexander Skargaard: LINK He answers fan questions and he is HOT! |

Oh wow. He is ridiculously hot. I thought he was hot on the show, but in that interview, damn. What the hell, I'd take him either way.

mmm mmm mmm all I can say is I missed the hair. I only like long hair on certain men, he's most definitely one of the ones that I like it on. He's
still totally doable w/o it, but I'd prefer with.
Thanks for the link, Mar ! |

I think one of you who have read the books said a while ago that Eric and Pam were much more prominent in the first book than they are on the show? Or was it that Eric and Pam play a big role in the second book and they should be featured more next season? |
