It seemed that he had little to no strength at all, or was that just me? I might need to watch the epi again.

It's not an instantaneous thing, and if it was for Godfrey, which I also assumed, then that's an inconsistency in the storytelling. I really appreciated the scene with Godfrey, but it kind of ruins it if you imagine him standing there basically broiling for ten minutes.

Like me, she always kind of hated vampires (thanks Anne Rice!) but loved Six Feet Under and American Beauty so was in conflict. I told her I was sending her the series and she could watch them all in a weekend. Then our conversation went like this: her: I also don't get these people who think vampires are hot. me: I didn't either, but Bill and Eric are hot. her: laughs okay then, I'll have to watch it.

The acting was freaking amazing, the dialogue was perfect, the reveal at the end was just what you would want. It's a cliffhanger for sure. Lafayette disappears, Bill shows up saying he fed. Then two weeks later, Lafayette is dead in Bellefleur's car. But it's misdirection because if Lafayette had been dead two weeks, who put him in Andy's car and why? And wouldn't his body be all fucked up?(decomposition)The foot looked "fresh kill" to me. Hoyt is SO gonna get with Jessica somehow.

In the second book, Living Dead in Dallas, (on page 63 in paperback) there is a line where Sookie talks about a song Gran used to sing about fairies in the garden and how even fairies might exist since vampires and shapeshifters do. I just thought it was a neat tie in from way back.

I don't think they're going to go with local folks sex club story next season. I think they are/will use Godfrey as a tool until he "faces the sun" I think humans kill Lafayette (if that is who is in the back of the car) and Godfrey was merely the kidnapper.

But there's all kinds of major events that sound like they happened in an earlier book, which they didn't. Sorry for the general descriptions which follow, but I haven't mastered the spoiler code yet. For example, she goes into long explanations of what happened between her and Eric in Book 4, with every subsequent book. In Book 6, from the time the emissary from New Orleans and his driver make an appearance to arrange a hasty trip to New Orleans, she mentions (a) a prior meeting (b) conversations with the person the New Orleans representative represents and a shit load of detail which sounds like a recap of a plot point from an earlier book.
