Huh? That makes no sense. No, you don't have to love them but UNLESS you've read the books you have no argument as to whether they are being played as they are written.
What I don't understand is why it matters that they are being played as they're written, when apparently, the entire rest of the show is different from the books. Everyone is like "Sookie is not supposed to be a bombshell!1!" and "Bill is not supposed to be a hunk!!1!" And yet, Tara and Lafayette are apparently not even supposed to be in it at all, so if they can make them a part of the cast, I don't see why they couldn't have done something extra to make Sookie and Bill not so bland.
