I like this kind of episode. Sam in 73, out of touch, just trying to get by. I'm not looking for some weird mythology, I get that from Lost, Fringe &
30 Rock thank you very much

I think the show has been pretty weak since it came back from it's break. Last night's episode was okay. The singer was a little too weird for me,
but I was only 2 in '73 so what do I know. The way the girl died seemed a little lame to me. I did like that we got to know the younger, naive cop a
little better. Gene's daughter is a total skank and I don't like her with Sam.

I think the costume designer might be as big a comic book geek as me cause Rocket Girl's outfit looked just like Donna Troy's costume. In fact, overall
she looked just like her

Hi Felicia. I have been spending time on Facebook and slacking off on my sucks board. I will be on the Lost stuff once I catch up this weekend. I have been
traveling the last few weeks and I hate watching Lost on the hotel room TV. I wait to get home so I can watch in HD on my 50 incher. Look forward to reading
all the stuff on the Lost board
Ok back to Mars........ this is starting to remind me of pushing daisies. I really wanted to like both of these shows. Deep down I knew Pushing Daisies was not that good and just kept watching hoping it would get better. This show started out strong for me. I guess it is the whole BUG thing that has me thinking these guys are winging it. I mean think about it: The best show ever LOST would never just throw a random episode in and not expect fans to question it. Mars screwed up by doing that because it made me question what the intent was behind it. Are they just making it up as they go along ? Oh wait I guess LOST did have a random episode a couple seasons ago when the couple were buried alive. That was also so stupid and random but fans forgave it because we love the show AND we were stoked that even though it was random at least they were dead- RIP Nikki and Poalo- so random i cannot even be sure that was their names. Mars needs to get back on track and provide real quality flashes w/o so much lame filler weak storylines |

I'm so glad last week was a good episode. Now they just need to keep it going.

Last night's episode was good again. Although, I could have done without seeing Fred Thompson. I hope it was only a one time appearance.

I thought it was a another good episode last night. I like that Sam acknowledge that he may or may not have changed the future in 35 years.

My head was still on Lost so can someone explain the significance (if any) of the girl painting rain at the end of the show?

FeliciaM7 wrote: Earlier in the episode, Sam explained to Eve about how Crane would kill his artist wife in the future - a wife that painted rain with oils. At the end of the episode, there was a conversation between Annie and Sam where they discussed whether or not he had changed the future. Then the last scene was Eve painting rain with oils. I think we were being shown a way Sam had changed the future in an unforseen way - she was not the artist to paint the rain, and it was painted 35 years early. |

I'm not the least bit impressed with this bullshit remake. The original BBC series was far better.

Thanks DownUpside!
Ichigo.. this show is not a remake for me. It's the ONLY Life on Mars for a lot of people. I really wish the folks who saw the UK version would quit all the hating based on comparison alone. It's getting tiring reading it. Personally if I didn't like a show I wouldn't waste my time posting shit about it. |

I saw the series on BBCAmerica. I watched the first two eps of the remake. No comparison: the remake is crap. They try too hard for the retro-chic, but miss
out on the underlying storyline of the original. ABC totally missed the point of the series.

Life on Mars will end in April.
This is one of the reasons I didn't start to get invested in this show. I knew the chances of it sticking around were slim at best. Too bad. ABC is dumping all of its quality shows. |

Well that fucking sucks.
Anyway, whatever. Thanks SurvivorJeff. |

I would have thought that Mars could have held it's own against L&O and CSINY, especially with Lost as the lead-in.
This blows. |
