Really liked this show. The music and all, very Serpico.

Woohoo. McW, Angela and I have another show in common. Wait, McW.. you do watch Lost, right?
Back to the music, there was some great stuff there. I never thought I'd hear "Little Willy" again. And I still catch myself singing the damn song.... |

I have to be honest. I was pleasantly surprised. I had actually skimmed through the original pilot and thought it sucked. Thankfully, I did not catch too much
of the plot but when I saw the entire first episode, due to the positive posts here, it was completely different. I'm going to have to go back to watch the
original pilot to see if they actually kept anything but right off the bat I can say Harvey Keitel worked brilliantly as the captain. The Bad Lieutenant as the
captain... perfect.
Now let's hope it doesn't go the way of Journeyman or Day Break. |

I was a little disappointed but blame my own high expectations. It definitely has potential and I'll keep watching. I also approach shows like this with
suspicion because I don't want to get into a show just long enough for it to be cancelled on me. ::fingers crossed::

I couldn't get into the British one because I simply dislike John Simms but this one seems interesting enough.
I can't wait to find out how they take a series that was only two seasons (and I believe on purpose?) and try to stretch it out to last for a while. |

I actually lost my breathe for a second when the camera scanned to the Twin Towers. Anyways I liked the show, I even liked Micheal Columbus Day which is rare
considering how I prayed for his raping and murdering. The best part for me though was the little kid with the terrible wig.

This one might be a keeper for me. I loved the tone & the music. Especially all the little details thrown in about the differences between the 2 eras.
We didn't have Diet Coke back then? Oh, right. We only had Tab.
I loved Harvey Keitel. I can not watch that man without picturing his large, swinging dick. |

Well, I was very pleasantly surprised with this. After seeing the original pilot months ago, I wasn't sure they could fix it. But the new casting has made
it a lot better.
This one is definitely a keeper for me ! ( seeing the Twin Towers made me tear up |

I liked it too but I gotta wonder where can they go with the storyline. Although, some great TV shows had even less to work with. I'll keep tuning in for
now.

So I went back to watch the original pilot from start to finish and I can say this first episode is a hundred times better in every way. They moved it from
LA to NY and the impact of him waking up and seeing the twin towers is definitely better than him seeing a holiday inn.

I really enjoyed this. I never saw the Brit version or the original pilot but I did know pretty much the whole plot. Still really enjoyed it. Jason O is
amazing as the lead. He really helped seal it for me. Nice seeing Lisa Bonet back on my TV even just temporarily.

I was in no hurry to watch this ("oh great, another cop show"). But then I read this thread. When I saw the positive comments, plus found out it
was based on a British show, I decided to check it out. I was not disappointed.

Sorry McW, didn't mean to offend you. I'd be INDIGNANT if someone on the board asked if ***I*** watch Lost.
Cassidy, where did you find the original pilot? I'd like to see that one night when I'm really bored. Fluffy - I had no idea Diet Coke wasn't around back then either. Seems like it's been around forever, but then again I was a kid in '73 so I didn't care about diet sodas. I do remember all the songs though. HI WILL! <3 |
