News will come out this week that Favre's shoulder is injured - torn ligaments or some other structural damage - and he'll need surgery and retire not
long after that announcement. He'll cite his body breaking down as the reason.

Countdown until the early-early morning WJZ broadcast, when (somewhere around 4:55 a.m.) Marty Bass proclaims the Ravens' post-season The Season of
Festivus.

Do the Queens have any cap room to make a big signing after they signed the redneck pass rusher?

How many teams 4 games under .500 have outscored their opponents by about 40 points? I think the Packers will be awesome next year. I don't see TT sitting
on his hands as much this off season.

Grats Bolts and Jit! Feels GREAT doesn't it?
I must be in the minority. I always loved the old Bucs logo and orange uniforms. |

I'd feel more sympathy, except the 8-8 team beat the 11-5 team in the regular season.
Next week everyone starts with a 0-0 record, and I guarantee that the two teams NOBODY wants to play are the two teams that clinched a playoff spot today - the Chargers and Eagles. |

Holla at the chargers fans.
I agree with you casey about the Chargers, our team is better than W-L record indicates, we lost a ton of close games. Not so sure about the Eagles (though they are a better team than the Cowboys). |

I hope the Chargers can pull off a victory vs the Colts. But that one scares me.
Here's my hopes for next week: Atlanta over Arizona SD over Indy Dolphins over Ravens Vikings over Philly (sorry Star and Sadllama!) This is actually the game I care least about. What I really think will happen: ARizona over ATl Indy over SD Ravens over Dolphins Philly/Vikings a toss up |

I just wanted to post this...this is what the betting "guru" in the philly paper said about the game today lol:
Cowboys (+1) over EAGLES After three gorgeous wins over the Cardinals, Giants and Browns, we thought that the Eagles were on the way to the postseason, but then it turned very, very sour in Washington. To score only three points against the 'Skins is downright embarrassing. It's not as if they went against any of the best defenses in the NFL, such as Pittsburgh and Baltimore, which, by the way, Dallas has done in December. The Cowboys lost to both, but they have had a nice, 2-0 run against the NFC East since the bye week, as well as covering four of the last six. The Birds need a whole bunch to go right to make the playoffs. Looking for a low-scoring affair, with neither team reaching the 20s. |
