I agree with you, CP.Always a wise decision. Don't be a downer. It was my first one!Sorry. Didn't mean to piss on your parade. They are, in fact, quite fun. And their rarity makes them a cool little special event. I'm just sayin' we don't have storms the size of most states ramming into us on a yearly basis. That's all. Hope you enjoyed it! |

When I moved to Atlanta people there would talk of earthquakes as if they were the scariest thing on earth and it made me laugh. They all said they would fear
an earthquake more than a tornado or a hurricane.
Whatever! Earthquakes: 1) Come without warning. 2) Are over before you know what is happening. 3) 95% of the time do very little damage, if any at all. When I went through my first Tornado warning, with full-on sirens and gushing winds that tore apart my garden, I was a basket case wondering if it was going to get me or wreck my house. For over an hour I was panicky. I'll take a good ol' California earthquake over a tornado or hurricane ANY DAY. |

earthquakes are WAY less scary than hurricanes. Even the REALLY bad ones aren't so disastrous in a place like LA with the proper infrastructure. The fires
freak me out, though.

The news channels are all breathlessly reporting that NOTHING WAS DAMAGED and NO ONE WAS HURT!!! All Breaking News of course. |
