This was definitely an extremely poor leg.
The people responsible for this leg should be shot, honestly.

The first task was not only a blatant and USELESS product placement task but was such a needle in a haystack task AND it screwed over teams that were just unlucky. HORRIBLE start.

The Fast Forward was a direct copy of TAR12's. TOTAL lack of originality. I'm pretty sure there are things other than tattoos that could've been done in Taiwan.

The Roadblock was another needle-in-a-haystack and was boring.

The Detour wasn't as bad, especially the toy-grabbing one. The bucket-up-the-stairs was just okay...

All in all, if it wasn't for the interesting teams, this leg would've been unwatchable.

And I'm hugely disappointed that this was another elimination leg. I'm pretty sure the next half of the race will be crappy to watch even though I like all the teams. Why? 5 non-finale episodes... 3 NON-ELIMINATION episode. On the same 5 teams... recurring and recurring probably twice and then the same 4 teams... OH MY GOD. The NELs should have been placed earlier!

This leg was definitely the do-or-die for a NEL and by not having one, I don't think it was a smart move on the producers' part.

This was not a good episode at all. The tasks were atrocious and lameass replicas from previous races. Product placement has never pissed me off this much. Are you kidding me? They spent at least 5-6 hours at the shopping mall, waiting for Blu-Ray discs to load. WTF?

It was Mai/Oliver's fault as well. They several times showed lack of commitment into the race. Stopping for hamburgers even when you're still not finished with the task? Refusing to continue the race when you could literally navigate yourselves? Seriously, they screwed up big time.

If Ida and Tania don't end up in F3, I'll officially hate this season.

Oh, and I once thought that this season of TARA would, for one time, outshine that of US version. Now I'm having second thoughts.

I think it's funny how the first 4 episodes of TARA3 were so awesome and then the fifth one practically killed it whereas the first episode of TAR13 was horrendous but the second saved it, with the 3rd looking to be really good with the U-Turn, funny Roadblock, new country, altitude sickness, sports-bra conflict, wooden bikes catastrophe and all...

I really don't have good vibes about TARA3 at all. If I predict correctly, the Final 3 will likely comprise Henry & Bernie, Geoff & Tisha and Sam & Vince with AD & Fuzzie being out 5th and Ida & Tania being out 4th. Unless some miracles happen... It'd still be lightyears ahead of TARA2 but not as good as TARA1 for sure.

I hate how they fuck up a perfectly good race with such mediocre tasks and poor leg planning. And why is TARA so adamant about having 2 legs in the same country continuously? It's so annoying. I mean, I'm fine if every maybe 2 - 3 countries you stay for 2 legs but having a (X -> Y) and then a (Y) leg pattern being so standardized is so retarded, especially in this case where they stayed in the same fucking city. (Taiwan rocks but there's more to it than Taipei. I mean C'MON)

I think the next episode will really determine whether or not this season will suck balls. I'm 99.99% sure that it'll be either a TBC or an NEL, since an elimination now would mean having a Final 4 by the end of the 6th episode, which is retarded. The way the season could be salvaged is probably through the following best case scenario happening:

Leg 6 - TBC
Leg 7 - Elim (Geoff/Tisha)
Leg 8 - NEL
Leg 9 - NEL
Leg 10 - Elim (Sam/Vince)
Leg 11 - Finale (any of them winning would be fine, though an F/F win would be EPIC)

WORST CASE, realistic SCENARIO:

Leg 6 - NEL
Leg 7 - Elim (Ida/Tania)
Leg 8 - NEL
Leg 9 - Elim (AD/Fuzzie)
Leg 10 - NEL (boring...)
Leg 11 - Finale (Geoff/Tisha end up winning)
