- The biggest thing I took away is that Peter (and subsequently Milo) is back. EASILY his best work since Season 1. Those two scenes with Nathan (although predictable) were A+ quality. Really set the tone for the 2nd half of the episode and compelled me personally a great deal.
- All the hunting scenes were well done. They found the right blend of suspense and even a bit of uncomfort.
- Don't think I like the idea of Matt as a prophet. Actually, I know I don't like it. I don't understand why Kring and company take all these liberties with the Parkman character. His power (and what it could evolve into) is good enough to mesh into almost any arc... I'll give this angle time to develop though.
- I'm really hoping that with Hiro captured we get away from the Hiro/Ando humor... it ran its course during Villains. I also hope that with Hiro captured we give James Kyson Lee a chance to really develop this new character trait into something really great.
- HRG alligned with Nathan intrigues me. Yes it means more Petrelli/Bennett drama but that will never go away people - the fact that I like all of those characters does probably equate into that statement though.
- Maybe Mohinder went back to India for a few weeks and his accent returned home with him? Honestly it threw me off but I'm fine with it. I'm trying to give the show a clean slate. I liked the character in S1, tolerated him in S2, and loathed against him in S3. Maybe a new accent will help people view him in a new light... or just hate him more.
- Does anyone truthfully care about this Sylar arc? I am not a Sylar hater (although the character has run its course), I just don't see the purpose of this. I have the tunnel vision to realize that he will ultimatley play a large role in the predominant storyline, but I just don't care. Give his screen time to Ali Larter.
- Ultimatley, I think IGN had it about right - 7.8 out of 10. Didn't make me jump for joy but also didn't make me openly weep in dissapointment. A nice slow build with an arc that will hopefully develop into a very well done season. It was at least as good as the best episode in Villains. A good starting point for sure.
