My office has been invaded |

By ants. It's creeping me out. At least the ant traps seem to be working.

obligatory what kind of a ghetto office do you work in?

I'm starting to wonder. It's my first summer in the job. One of my walls is all window, and I'm on the ground floor.
I think I need some sealant or something. |

Maybe this is ghetto, but here we just leave a plate of raw meat out in the middle of the cube dwellers to keep them away from the offices.
Works on the ants too. |

There IS someone in the office that I would like to annoy...hmmmm |

Toothpaste kills ants.

Lizards will eat ants.
You should buy some lizards and let them have at it. |

I'd be more worried about the lizards eating my toes. Frying pan into fire kinda deal.
I do have toothpaste in my purse. I might just try that. At worst, my office will smell minty fresh. |

Leaving raw tuna around the baseboards kills ants as well.

The head ant just declared mission accomplished, so you're good.

You could have pulled it off if you suggested something more realistic, PeePee. Like toothpaste.

They invented this new stuff too...you spray it and it kills bugs. Supposedly works pretty well. Can't remember what it's called, though.

Yeah, it took me a week to get the ant traps from facilities management. I'm not counting on the Raid coming any time soon.

I swear toothpaste works. I think it's the artificial sweetener. They are attracted to it and they eat it and it kills them immediately.
Take that all you diet soda drinking morons. |

I just squeeze some onto the floor, so if you're messing with me, you can start laughing now.
Hopefully toothpaste doesn't turn them into giant human-eating mutant ants. If you don't hear from me tomorrow, you'll know why. |

I used to hate when my friends would get ants in their apartments and would spray that nasty "floral scent" Raid. Gag-a-riffic.

There aren't as many ants as there were an hour ago, but I notice some ants are turning away from the opening on the ant trap. Do you think they can smell
the death and destruction within?

It's hard for me to be sympathetic. When I used to work at a government facility, we were infested with cockroaches. They laid eggs in my desk clock, in
the back of the refrigerator, inside of our water cooler, inside someone else's answering machine. You'd lift up one of your papers and one would
scurry across the desk. They finally had to do a roach bomb.

Good God NTA, that's grounds for long term mental health leave. I wouldn't have been able to work there.
