Bees can't live without the stinger, which is interesting that to protect themselves they would sting you, and then die. Anyway, this afternoon I was sitting at an outdoor cafe sipping coffee with my best friend when I felt something fall on my hair. I reached up to brush it away and that's how I got stung, right on the tip of my little finger. For about a second I felt I was gonna faint and it hurt like hell. My friend panicked. She's really allergic to bee stings and says she could even die from one. Now the tip of my little finger is the size of my thumb and it still hurts. Do you think the stinger is still inside? Should I see a doctor?

Don't leave it too long if you don't smoke cause it can make you dizzy and give you a headache. Yes, it sounds stupid, but it does seem to work. My daddy's hillbilly medicine.

Posts: 9529 (08/12/08 07:26 PM) Guttersnipe, and a lazy slob Reply Quote More Recent Posts	i got stung on my upper arm by a wasp about a month ago. never had a problem with them before. damn thing swelled up to the size of my thigh and stayed that way for over a week. hot to the touch and itched like hellfire. then some swelling went down but the redness and itching just altogether went away this past week. for those of you with poor math skills, that's almost a month. um, have fun with your bee sting!

I'm afraid the stinger may still be inside.

That happened to me 2 summers ago after never having a reaction to a bee sting before The first time I was stung, it was how you described....swollen, hot to the touch and itchy where I was stung, then I got stung again two weeks later.Immediately I started to feel dizzy, short of breath and broke out in hives all over and went to the ER. Remove this ad You should take a Benadryl as soon as possible after being stung. When I'm stung, it doesn't swell until the day after, but waiting 'til then to take a Benadryl isn't as effective.
