People who make their MySpace page private |

|
So what are you hiding any ways? I always assume that someone with a private account is either hiding racy pictures or a blog that gives their
"friends" a blow-by-blow account of their fast lane, hard partying lifestyle.

If your myspace is private, can people who aren't your friends still message you?
If they can't, then I could see making it private to ward off pervy messages from random strangers (everyone gets them, from what I hear, not just hot girls). But if they can, then yeah, that's just lame. Your life isn't so important that your silly little myspace page needs to be admission only. |

I made mine private because every day I was getting all these friend requests from local bands and shit. It was annoying as hell.

Forgot to add: Unless, of course, they have pictures of them snorting coke off a hooker's ass or some such activity. But all the private myspaces I've
seen are just regular pages.

I'm not hiding anything. I have mine set to private because my mom is a snoop (it's easy to look up ones MySpace, employers do it a lot these days).
One of my sister's friends added me and left me a comment and then my mom asked me why I wanted to be associated with someone like that (I guess she was
selling drugs or something, I dunno, I just know she is nice) and that's when I decided to make it private.

Hello Amy. :)
I originally got a MySpace so I could snoop on my kids. I've reconnected with a lot of high school friends and family members since. Mine is private because I don't really have anything on it. I don't check it often and when I do I don't like to have to wade through the crap from people I don't know. |

It is called "MySpace" which means nobody else is fucking allowed in your space.

My dumbass ex made his private, because he was convinced that if it was public every single person on Myspace would try to steal his identity.

Mine was private so it was less likely to be hacked. Then I got weird popups anyway and deleted the whole thing. Facebook is where its at. At least it was
before Scrabulous got killed.

Myspace: A place to post pictures, blogs, stories, and poetry. You can also play games.

Private is the way to go.
I was always getting messages from 40-60 year old creepers telling me weird shit like my hair was pretty and they liked my fashion sense. |

Private is a plus when you have cweepy internet people on your friends lists, and you don't want non-friend cweepy internet people to be able to see any
personal or real life information.
