Yeah some schools the guidance counselors just suck. I was in a pretty big school and they just shuffled you in, shoved some papers at you and shuffled you back out again. If you didn't know the right questions to ask you were out of luck.

Yes, there's a HUGE difference. Generally, if a hispanic does even remotely well in school they are hand-fed every opportunity to have a quality education, just by virtue of them being latino. Not the same with white non-WASPS.

I went to two different HS in two different states...one in a huge school district and one there was only 400 students in the entire HS...and they both were pretty gung ho on the college stuff. Now days, the traditional high school kids take college credit courses...go figure.
