Dan is hoping and planning on a backdoor of Michelle or Ollie - he's hoping for Michelle. He (so far) is honoring the deal, but plans on NOT honoring the portion where Ollie gets to name the replacement Nom after POV. In a perfect world for Dan, tho, here's how it goes down: Renny wins POV, takes Memphis down, and Dan has no choice but to put up Michelle (Ollie certainly wouldn't volunteer to be the replacement nom; Keesha is safe per the Dan/Ollie deal, Renny can't go up because she won the POV - leaves only one person that could possibly go up: Michelle. Dan's hands are clean because it's beyond his control and for all intents and purposes he DID honor his "deal" with Ollie.

First of all, as HoH, he still controls things. He can go back on the deal if he wants. Secondly, he gets the perks of being HoH.

While she is completely vapid and totally un-self aware, she is actually playing a good game since the coven broke up. It's tough to actually root for her, but right now I would be ok with her winning.

All three of Dan, Keesha and Memphis are stroking her - subtly. They're doing a really good job. I've noticed lately that she's sensitive about the DUMBEST - and usually unsubstantiated - reasons. To me, this makes it all the more difficult to deal with her. You never know what is going to offend her. I also wanted to add - another reason Dan didn't hate this "deal" with Ollie is because in his mind, if Ollie and Michelle feel safe and aren't on the block, they won't be as motivated to win POV - and one of them might actually sit out (remember, we're down to only one person not playing for POV this week). In Dan's mind, playing things out this way might actually be better for their side - if they can get through the week without Renny freaking the fuck out, or Memphis not being on the block well and doing something to cause everyone to shift gears and vote his ass out. Both are two big risks, but maybe less risky than out-and-out pursuing Ollie or Michelle full-throttle for eviction.

That's why I think the best thing Dan did was letting her know that the one person Ollie wanted protected was Michelle. It aims Renny's suspicions in that direction instead of towards Memphis. The more Ollie/Michelle hang out the more convinced Renny will be that one of them needs to go. I also think Memphis helped his cause a lot by being 100% on the Backdoor Michelle plan. That makes it tough for Renny to still think they're the most powerful couple in the house.

They are going to try and win the veto and take peepaw off. Ollie told them the rest of the deal he made with Dan! If they do that they are in for a big awakening, methinks, cause Dan said he would put up Ollie or Michelle, if he has to. Part of the safe deal is that he wouldn't put Keesha up so if they take Peepaw off the only players left are Renny and Ollie/Michelle. He has told his alliance it would be a deal breaker if Ollie's side uses veto!! I am not sure what he will say if Memphis takes himself off, cause I forgot what he said about that!!LOL
