I dont agree with that, I think she absolutely is a better dancer than Gilles. IMO she was by far the most precise dancer on the show this season.

Of course that doesnt matter when it comes to who should win and who shouldnt, but I just wanted Gilles to lose because I thought he was ridiculously over scored the entire season, not to the levels Jason Taylor was over scored, but still really annoying.

true but Gilles free didn't have any dancing in it but for a few lifts and he still gotthe scores that kept him tied

the first 35 seconds of their free was on the upper deck with Cheryl

Granted Gilles is good but he was pimped by the judges all season with the scoring

Shawn did have the better Free last night so I am fine by her winning

I thought I wanted Gilles to win (I was pretty meh on everyone in the F3, so I just picked the obvious winner), but I was thrilled when they announced Shawn. She really pulled out all the stops at the right time.

The only problem with Mark (who I like) winning is now the winners have been:

Alec, (Cheryl, Cheryl,) ( Julianne, Julianne, Mark, Derek, Mark.)

The Hough trio have been winning since season 4, and before that, it was Cheryl (who isn't really worth rooting for anymore).
We need a NEW pro winner.

And once again, the olympian claims first place, along with the person with the highest freestyle score. Even with all the previous winners having the highest freestyle scores, I'm still surprised it happened with Shawn, since she has been a distant third (even fourth, if you count Kim) all season.

I need to see that roast on youtube; I missed parts of it.

And Shawn winning, for me, as partly redeemed what has been, until now, a boring, predicable, and (since Kim left and Ty had no shot), a very hard to care about season. I didn't think I'd want her to win that badly, but the last 10 minutes of the show were really tense.

swimlife, I thought of you when Gilles lost.

Were you a Shawn fan?

I liked everyone who was left, but I was happy to see Shawn and Mark win because I liked their freestyle so much and I think she's come into her own in the second half of the season. I was also looking forward to some of the hysteria at some places if Gilles lost.

It's the (Emmitt Smith) pity vote. Gilles should have won. Melissa was too much like Brooke Burke from last season.
Shawn was fat and clumsy. She didn't deserve to win.

Shawn was fine. Gilles has been so overscored these past few weeks, while Shawn has really grown on me. Melissa is... yeah, I never wanted her to win. You can't call Shawn clumsy when Melissa is the one who messed up her routines the most.
