I was Panama City a couple of weekends ago (first time not just driving through the panhandle) and it's SO country redneck up there. I couldn't believe it. I went to 2-3 of the bars (only ONE gay bar?!??! Are you serious?!?) and I don't think a single bartender didn't have at least 1-2 missing teeth. This one old crazy bitch bartender was wearing this teeny-tiny jean skirt and this skimpy Harley-Davidson looking top and it was just sad. I'm never visiting the panhandle again.

Yep...that's Panama City. Fort Walton Beach only has one gay bar. 'Least that's what the 'mos tell me. Pensacola Beach, however, is ready. Big Gay Pride celebration every Memorial Day weekend. Lotsa lebanese chicks. True story: there's a Birkenstock store in Gulf Breeze. I was talking to the owner a couple years ago and she said they make enough money between Memorial Day weekend and residual (people calling orders in throughout the year) to keep their doors open all year. That's a whole lotta lesbians needin' sandals...
