General impressions : This looks a lot like a copy/paste season, from the buff colors (China's red and yellow) to type-casting of many players. What is amazing is that most seem to be unable to shut up. Haven't they learned that listening is a weapon while talking marks you as a target.

As for the players, here's what I think of their chances:

Jessica 'Sugar' Kiper

Another artsy-type Jessica with a "cute" nickname! This naïve looking girl will need to learn the game quickly or she'll be an early casualty. Her best hope could come from someone seeing her as China's Courtney.

Prospects: No Sugar Tonight.

Ace Gordon:

His bio is already preparing us to see him as an arrogant SOB. Ace will certainly get a villain edit who will make some suffer. The question is whether Ace sees his fall early like Joel or only when he thinks he has the game in hand like Judd.

Prospects: Ace is Not the Place.

Corinne Kaplan

This self-proclaimed bitch will have to walk the fine line between being everyone's favorite opponent in the F2 and annoying everyone too much to keep around. I think 39 days is too long to carry a goat.

Prospects: Kaplan… Kappenberg… Kaput

Ken Hoang

This gamer could see the start of his game depend on whether he falls in the tribe with 5 or 4 men. The tribe with 4 men would be better for him. If he lasts a while, watch out because he seems to have something lacking in this cast, intelligence.

Potential: I think Ken can.

Kelly Czarnecki

Kelly has to be one of the most beautiful women ever to play Survivor. Will it be a handicap?! She seems athletic enough and beautiful enough to keep around. She sounds like a teenager enough to annoy voters. How will it turn out?

Potential: 36D. Yep, she could last 36 Days.

Randy Bailey

This jerk looks like a sure Sucks favorite but he reminds me of BB. Hopefully he'll be more fun to watch.

Prospects: No Candy for Randy

Crystal Cox

Hello Jolanda! Same physique, same occupation, same mouth and I believe same fate or close to it.

Prospects: World record time in the sprint from TC to LL.

Charlie Herschel

And here's Todd! He could be as smart in his strategy as the China winner but he could be seen as a threat because of it. Charlie gave me the impression of not being good at reading people something Todd knew how to do. .

Potential: Sorry Charlie

Paloma Soto-Castillo

She looks a little like Liliana but then we never really saw Liliana so I could be mistaken. One of the few contestants that looks like a "nice" person. She'll need help with this bunch.

Prospects: She gets one or two more confessionals than Liliana but not much more than that.

Danny 'G.C.' Brown

So we get Dreamz again, at least as far as his background story. GC looks to have a better social game so the problem becomes that no one will want to face him in the end.

Potential: As usual, Brown's fans will not see him make the playoffs… I mean the end game.

Gillian Larson

We get to see an athletic Sonja. That could help her fly under the radar if she'd learn to shut up but there, she reminds me of Sylvia. Either the voters don't give her a chance to prove herself in the challenges or she proves to be a pain in the ass between the challenges.

Prospects: Larson will say it was larceny but she won't get a ticket to the merge.

Matty Whitmore

A reformed party boy may find the work too difficult but if he does carry his weight we could be looking at an end-game player here. He should know how to have fun and entertain his alliance mates. He also looks like he can win an immunity or two.

Prospects: This Matty has game.

Jacque Berg

The game hasn't even started and Jacque's already looking for the coat tails that she can ride to the end. My guess is that none fit her.

Prospects: The Tribe has spoken Mrs BERG.

Dan Kay

Another annoying, talkative, attention whore.

Potential: Dan K loses by KO

Susie Smith

We'll be able to see just how good Sandra's game was without the Outcast twist because Susie has the same mouth and the same strategy. So, unless she goes early (which is a definite possibility) or we get the PI twist (which isn't), I suspect we see the "anyone but me girl" last only until the winning alliance decides there isn't anyone but her to boot.

Prospects: Big Susie wakes up in LL, either very early or at around F6.

Marcus Lehman

This guy will give a rash to many Sucks posters. This athletic, smart, good-looking guy will exacerbate the insecurities of people who are so intimidated by strong men that they chose something like 22 women in their top 25 players. Unfortunately, Marcus also looks too arrogant for his own good. If he keeps it in check though, he could last to the end.

Potential: End game player.

Michelle Chase

Michelle could slide by for a long time like Fiji's Stacy or see the tribe turn on her like another woman from Fiji, Jessica.

Prospects: Keep on Chasing that dream.

Robert 'Bob' Crowley

I almost think we have Yau Man playing again. The problem is that this group seems less mature than Fiji's (yikes) and Mr Crowley could be victim of the generation gap.

Prospects: Ozzy Osbourne asked: "Mr. Crowley, what went on in your head?" I don't think we'll have time for an answer.
