I remember people trying to spoil the China cast back in August of '07. It was around this point where we had most of the cast members, and ALOT of them looked/seemed like mactors. Sure, some of them were actual models (Dave, Courtney) but they turned out to be fantastic Survivor characters. I also remember thinking Todd was a mactor, but he wasn't in the slightest and ended up being a gigantic Survivor fan.

From what I can tell, none of the males on the Survivor Fever list are actual "mactors". A doctor from FL? A gay attorney from NYC? A black song writer from Oregon? A photographer from FL? We know there are going to be males in their 20's. There always have been, and there always will. With that being said, if these are four of the younger males, I'm happy, because it seems like a great mix, and the older contestants are often even more diverse in their backgrounds and hometowns.

I will admit that I have a bigger question mark for the females "spoiled" so far. A 25 year old blonde from CA who is into....what...."medical device sales"? Okay, clearly she wasn't cast for her occupation, so here's hoping she plays the sweetheart role, or something else the casting department was going for.

Crystal, former Olympian from NC....enough said. Kellay, the blonde with fake boobs from either Chicago OR Los Angeles? Okay, if she's really from LA, then not much hope there I'm afraid.

I know I'm not the only one who is reminded of Courtney from Jessica's pictures. A model from NYC, and a musician? Okay, not bad. Paloma, also from CA....isn't a model or an actress, but I can see why people consider her a "mactor" just from her location alone. I say wait until the cast reveal because this chick is gonna surprise all of us.

And then we have Corinne from Hollywood....okay, yeah, fuck her. I have no excuse other than a possible Jerri Manthey twin, which has the same chance Hatch had of winning ASS.

So yeah, we don't have a bunch of mactors here folks. A few potentials, of course, but I think back to the last season of all-new players, China, and I remember how fantastic that cast was, at least for me. It had it's fair share of some models, but it had plenty of "real people", and even the models, like Courtney and Dave, were awesome for the show. If we really do have 10 solidly spoiled contestants so far, and we're still waiting on the older players' identities, then I for one am excited, because in my opinion we are off to a solid start and better things are sure to come.
