To have 2 hours during the busiest week of the tv year is an awesome thing, so we shouldnt worry about CBS's faith in survivor. Also, if you recall, they edit together tons of extra scenes for each episode that they don't use. Infact a lot of those are availabe on cbs as bonus footage. So extending the show shouldnt be that hard. My bet is that each episode is cut down begrudgingly to fit into 45 minutes.

Or does the webmaster just suck? Or do they deliberately try to confuse us? Or is the webmaster in the Virgin Islands at a Sandals resort? Or maybe the webmaster, a mactor, is cast in Gabon as we speak.

The web masters at CBS always have and most likely always will suck. For proof, go to the current site: http://www.cbs.com/primetime/survivor and click on Amanda's bio - you'll get a totally different one, then again at least hers brings up a working picture and text whereas the others don't. According to the "official" site, the premiere is still the 18th too. I think we'd have better luck from a magic 8 ball than getting information off the official CBS Survivor site.

Survivor: Gabon, which had previously been scheduled to premiere with a one-hour episode on September 18, will now debut with two one-hour broadcasts on Thursday, September 25 beginning at 8PM ET/PT. Both episodes will feature castaway eliminations, according to a network spokesperson. CBS will formally unveil the identities of Survivor: Gabon's 18 castaways on Wednesday morning's broadcast of The Early Show.
