Can we all just agree ahead of time that no matter who wins, we will all be adults and not have the kind of meltdowns that led to OT being closed after the
election in 2004?
I don't remember who the main instigators were. Maybe I need to reach out to them individually? |

Gregoire, I'm not very political, so I didn't follow it very closely.
But from what I recall, some of the leftist posters were infuriated that Bush was reelected. Some of the conservative posters provoked them mercilessly. People started making threads indiscriminately. Threads started getting dumped and locked. Tempers flared. More threads were started. Some posters were banned I think. OT was shut down for a while to let people cool off. The fact that MadWoman is not around this time will probably avert much of the tension. |
