ok, so there's a pick em at the beginning like we thought, but there's no gender requirements on either tribe it seems, so they can pick anyone. Then the challenge immediately after is a race: the first complete tribe to finish gets a bag of rice (wasn't there a vidcap of Ace with a bag?), but the first person for each tribe gets individual immunity from the first TC like in Micronesia. |

Wow, that's a really cool ew video.
Watching it now and funny how the contestants all have code names before the game begins. LOL at them eating in silence. The doctors are wearing Cook Islands shirts. CBS doesn't even get them new shirts every season. Poor guys.

Those videos were cool but Dalton started grating on me after like three minutes.
Didn't we see rice at the Kota camp? I guess it's a clean sweep for Kota in episode one? |

Awesome videos! Dalton did a fabulous job.
I'm 99% positive that "Pre-Ponderosa" (the castaways' cabins) was at Nyonie on a hill above the crew's tent camp near Nyonie Beach . I know, probably no one cares but me, but ... anyway,... I really enjoyed seeing the silent castaways at their dining table and peeking into their rooms and the art dept. Fun stuff. Thank you Dalton and SEG, wherever you are. |

I bet a lot more communication goes on during the pre-filming period than we're led to believe. Who's going to stop them in the middle of night from
talking, unless they have a supervisor or something sleeping in the room with them?

Exactly, and it's to all of their advantages.
I mean, even in interviews the castaways know that they have "connections" with people. Hello, they have private time together all the time. Rigged for SEGs faves.

Interesting videos! Does anyone have screencaps of the challenge board yet? I also wonder if anything can be read into who's sitting next to whom at lunch,
even though they can't talk. That might tell us something about pre-show bonds, and maybe explain some of the choices in the pick'em.
Dalton was a bit grating, but I did LOL at the "immunity idol" he found! Jeff's reading up on India. Hmmm... |

Yeah, I had no idea they spent that much time together pre-show. It might be interesting to chart who was sitting with whom at lunch.
Looked like we also got a look at the whiteboard for the ball rolling challenge? Future location spoiler, Probst is reading about India? 8>) So for the first challenge, I think he is saying first tribe with everyone on the mat gets the rice? Plus maybe flint? That is a little interesting, setting up some conflict between finishing first yourself, and getting the whole team over. Who is ahead in the hill climbing shots we've seen? It looks like each team also gets a pile of tools and utensils and such. No one to exile from that challenge, since it isn't built yet, but I guess possibly someone could go from the immunity challenge (getting to miss tribal council). |
