And if that isn't enough, nobody knows what the fuck is happening at AIG and Washington Mutual is under tremendous pressure. I am buying canned food and hiding in TRho's attic. Walgreen Co. put in a last minute, $3Billion dollar bid to buy Long's Drugs on Friday night, a bid that was $3.50 more per share than rival CVS/Caremark Inc. This is sure to send WAG (currently a steal at just over $36/share) through the roof. Or maybe not, but hey my profit sharing would certainly like it.

Devil is in the details. And it doesn't solve the underlying problem - housing market isn't going north anytime soon and banks are under pressure. Oh well.

I noticed that one of the companies they are shedding is a reinsurance company. They are such a freaking huge company that it never occurred to me that they could possibly be in real trouble.
