Cause there was a big conspiracy theory that her Dad somehow had CBS NOT show it, which was totally wrong and that incident is how we all found out that they aren't allowed to show full nude sex on the feeds. If it's under a cover they can.

Chelsea has said in chats that her parents DID blow a gasket at CBS & stirred up lots of shit with the producers. That's the reason they never had the cameras on them. They told her parents they could not stop them from having sex but they wouldn't show it. So when the kissing started, even if it didn't lead to sex, the cameras turned away.

I think they were probably under the covers (like April and Ollie). I don't think they were confident enough that the cameras would definatley be off them. I can see James not caring but I really don't see Chelsia wanting to do it out in the open with the lights on and no covers. I really think it was really just interference from chelsea's parents like Fluffy said (which is such BULLSHIT). Not that I wanted to see them fuck or anything, it just got annoying when the cameras would cut away the minute they got in a room alone together (I remember it being particularly bad during thier HOH week). Since the feeds are restricted to people who voluntarily pay to see them, I thought broadcast standards for sexual content would not apply. Not because CBS couldn't. It was because CBS wouldn't. And Chelsea's parents had good reason to be on CBS's ass. The entire premise of the couple setup got things off to a strange start. The HGs were told they HAD to sleep with their assigned partners. It would have been different if they were allowed to hook up independently. Plus, James' history of unprotected gay sex probably had a great deal to do with it too. CBS knew they were playing with fire.

We can only speculate as to why.. but I agree it had a lot to do with Chelsia's parents.

I think production made the decision to not show nudity/sex because they fear the religious nutaceses who complain all the time about everything "indecent" shown on tv, etc now lets move on from the shit that was BB8 & BB9...... They didn't have any problem with the nudity on the feeds though. I think they probably had to make some fast decisions once James and Chels came on the show and started going at it. I don't think any other houseguest has ever been so flagrant with the nudity and sexin before them. I don't think Chelsia's parents influenced the decision on what CBS would or could allow to be seen on the feeds.. but I do think they raised holy hell and what they would have shown of Chels was cut down even more.
