As far as I can remember, yeah. It was really weird to me. The only time confessionals occurred during challenges was during SOS challenges or building a
shelter challenges, never anything like that.

I'd rather have that than Probst just screaming throughout the challenge. I got the impression from his pre-show interviews that there will be more longer
lasting challenges this season, so I'm guessing we'll see more of this.

I would not include them. There have been previous instances of new confessionals or half-new confessionals (they showed a slightly different version) of it,
and those haven't been counted. Plus those confessionals are from earlier and do not cover the specific time period of the current episode.

Yeah, I suppose they are rather insignificant and for a narrative purpose. It was just interesting I guess.
Counting all of Sugar's confessionals during exile is going to be hard, I think there were like between 4 and 6. |

Matty had 1 or 2? Crystal had about 3... or 2. Randy had 1 or 2. GC might have had one. Ken and Susie didn't, neither did Kelly or Jacquie. |

As long as you're watching and counting anyways, I'd track the new ones in the previouslies. Keep the number separate, but let's wait through a few
episodes and see if it means anything. May be a new editing approach, like having confessions during challenges, that means something.
(I'm inclined to think people who get confessions in the previouslies are important. We spent some confession time the previous week with the bootee, because we needed it for story-telling in that episode. But guess what? They are of zero further significance, so we use characters with ongoing importance to catch us up on the narrative, and set the scene going forward.) |

Everyone's had a confessional which is actually quite impressive, although it took four episodes for two of them to get any (Kelly/Susie). There's
still a chance, if Susie goes far, she'll probably be the Becky/Natalie/Lydia/Jen of the season.
