I wonder if Crystal's ''batting zero'' comment will turn out to be wrong. Maybe she redeems herself in the individual challenges.

They did show that scene last episode where Ken/Crystal/Matty/Sugar all promised to go to the end together. Of course that might not mean anything. Susie/Randy
could be considered fang too.

I totally don't see Matty beating anyone in the final 2/3 except maybe Susie or maybe Charlie. Nice/"honest" players almost never beat smart,
ruthless players. And brains always beats brawn in the final two. The only time "nice" players win is when they are sitting next to someone more
useless than themselves. As far as JP's blogs/interviews go, I'm not sensing anything other than JP thinks Matty's a really swell guy, which
pretty much echos what all of the ousted players have said. I think the reason why JP is rooting for Matty (and Sugar) is because this season we have a lot
more smart/ ruthless players (Randy, Crystal, Corrine, Kenny) than "honorable"/naive players. Also, Matty and Sugar are sort of archtypes (dumb
surfer/ditsy blond actress) that would seem to be easily eaten alive by the more savvy, ruthless, educated players and their survival week to week makes for
interesting TV. I don't have anything against Matty and Sugar. I think they are trying to play the game the best they can, they just aren't ruthless
enough to win. "Integrity" is a huge handicap. It will be interesting to see how far they get.

Are you kidding? Why would anyone take Matty to Final 3? He'd win. He's athletic, likable, and comes across as not being fully "in" with the
rest of the Fangs. Marcus would certainly (bitterly) vote for him over Crystal, Ken or Susie...
So far, his hands are clean of any backstabbing and blindsides. Great strategy plays don't win bitter jury votes. |

Great strategy plays don't win bitter jury votes. Parvati begs to differ. |

Fair point, but I was thinking of Marcus. Can't see him voting for Crystal, Kenny or Susie if there's another option.

Haha, very good point Joaqenix. Eliza! How are you liking this season? For me it started great, got pretty miserable, then it got a real shot in the arm with the surprise boots of Ace and Marcus back-to-back - I'm loving how this season is progressing... |

Phoenix new clue for Gabon | ||

As the challenges go on after the merge there seems to be a balance between ones requiring brains and those requiring brawn. Matty may do well in those that
favor brawn (although I, myself haven't really seen him as a big threat despite his win last week) but I can seen Kenny whipping his ass if it involves a
puzzle or is one that involves questions about players or Gabon. And don't discount Kenny in physical challenges. I believe that he probably came up with
the idea of climbing over the maze in that one challenge versus going through it.
Bottom line is that Matty will be out-witted at the end and won't have immunity to save himself. I am going out on a limb here but I don't see him past final 5. |

Joaqenix wrote:People can win with a bitter jury, but they often need to be with someone with equal standing to them. Dreamz/Cassandra never had a chance against Earl. Parvati lost James/Ozzy's votes, but Amanda wasn't popular with some of the other jury members. Alexis wasn't exactly happy with Amanda using the idol against her. I am not saying that Parvati didn't deserve to win, but a lot of the Jury members weren't exactly in love with Amanda either.

"S"-files - "There is never Silence"
Could that be referring to the editing with Sugar where they chose to delay her "story" start to Episode 3, rather than highlighting her in the premiere? |

"S"-files - "There is never Silence"Well, Crystal certainly likes speaking.......a lot actually. |

We haven't seen it on the show, but pre-show (when that clue was presented), everyone kept claiming Susie
couldn't shut up.

I had forgotten about that, birdlady. ugh at her being so hidden the first half of the season. She is awesome.

Someone on sucks compared it to me and Twila on Vanuatu and I totally see that comparison. All four of us just kind of said what we thought without thinking too much about it first and couldn't really control ourselves in terms of blurting things out. It was fun to watch but also somewhat painful! |
