Kota were very clinical in the way they split their votes to ensure there was no idol surprise. The differences in the two TCs could not be more pronounced.
Ace: MOR3 The world ended with a whimper, not a bang. Poetic justice that his pin-up girl got the Brutus role. Bob: OTTP2 Got the leading role in the annual "letters from home" scene. Shown snoozing in the hut while others plot. Charlie: MOR2 A rock-solid onion. Corinne: CP4 Wanting to stab someone in the face merits consideration for an N, but her face to face dealings with Susie were impeccable. Maybe it's Marcus' influence. Crystal: MORN4 Too much awareness to be OTT, but her TC antics had me cringing. Dan: OTT2 Hi I'm Dan and I have self-esteem issues. Ken: CPP3 Is one of the "good" Fang members. Gets a P for helping push Sugar towards what was edited to be the right decision. Marcus: CPP3 Nobody can complain this time that he wasn't shown involved in the boot decision. My only question left is whether he'll pitch a shut-out at final TC. Matty: OTTN3 Was full of the blame game this episode. Randy: MOR2 Marcus' confessional may indicate he may be on the outer layer of the onion - given the preview, next week should be interesting. Sugar: CPP3 I think that this is as CP as it will get for Sugar - now that she's killed the snake, is that the end of her storyline? Susie: OTTN2 Survivor rule 1: honesty is not the best policy.
Winner: Marcus. |

I don't think Marcus is an obvious winner -just to us. And "us" I hope is wrong.
Sugar still got that comment from Probst after GC left, and so many of her exhiles could have been fluff -but they've been just as strategic and foreshadowing as Yul or Aras'. Tonight was another one about not knowing how to play but figuring it out and about "surviving." She's mostly been well tended to in her edit, and I think predominantly complex- it's just that she's bubbly when she gives the interviews. Crystal is the same -an intense personality in reality (the reported TCs affirm this) but has great care in her craft. A complex edit doesn't mean they have to be a good player. ANYONE can win this game and the edit will layer it accordingly. Come on, Marcus -be a big old distraction. |

Jedi, the vote was smart for Marcus, protecting against the idol, and they showed him getting the word for Kota on it. Marcus wanted Dan gone, more than
Corrine, Dan went, yet Marcus gets to look smart splitting the vote to prevent the power of the idol from biting them.
Remember, Matty called his exit last week, "Sugar can play the idol and I'm gone." I'm willing to wager on that now. Who was ready to kiss Crystal goodbye? Great setup on that one. And with Marcus giving Sugar the idol, then getting the confessional about her removing a "strong" player, and him mentioning Ace, then he did trump Ace in the end, as promised. Ace was strung along, with Sugar sweetening the deal. Can you see Rady voting against old Fang? He's still Twila, but gets to pull a Lil too. Bob is awesome. Did Randy call him annoying? Sugar isn't dumb. And looking at those roots, not a blonde, either. But was that really smat? Corrine's quote about making her mad = making her alliance mad, that's interesting. Remember the possible final TC. If Marcus wins easy, we're seeing how Randy will burn bridges, Corrine will poss off people, Charlie is a tagalong, Crystal is...Crystal, etc. Of course Earl would beat anyone but Yao Man, too. I expect Bob or Sugar to come in fourth in the finale, the last real obstacle. Therefore they won't. Michael

OnlyTheHunter wrote:No way is Randy Twila.... Randy doesn't like Crystal or Ken. I can't see him going back to Fang, especially since we see that he is more of an onion than Bob. Meanwhile, Bob is a nice guy, but aloof. Susie is the one to watch. She didn't like oldFang and now she's been screwed over by newKota. She is a woman without a country. I hope we merge next episode, because I can't wait to see what she does. I think she will re-align with Matty, but which side will they choose? How can any person get 6 votes? When will the idol come in to play? This season got good with this episode. |

kitty, I'm telling you 100% that Marcus is the winner. There's no way I can be wrong.
welcome, ncassaro -the above is a little insurance based on my track record. |

Randy might be an honorary onion, but I don't think it will be as cut and dry as that. The Charlie/Marcus/Corrine trio doesn't have enough meat
for them all to be the endgame in my view. Corrine and especially Charlie seem more tools connected to Marcus' story.

ncassaro, what I meant is that Randy is going to face the jury, but with burned bridges, a la Twila. And he can't help being himself when it counts.
He's going to be arouns a long time. When Crystal goes, will he actually say, "Kiss my ass?" Odds are 8-1 against.
We know Charlie can't be a second Adam to Marcus, instead he's the boot that causes one to question Marcus' chances, easy smokescreen. Michael |

Honestly, after this episode, it's right back to Marucs as a 99.99% chance, Randy as that .01%. Matty died this episode by being completely blindsided and
overruled by Ace, who then got voted out. Ken is the ONLY other option, but his INV, plus the stigma of Fang really weaken his chances to me.

colleenlover wrote:In your experience, does the entire F4 have a significant edit by now? Because we haven't gotten that from the onions. I know that last season Cirie, Parv, and Amanda had all been major characters by now... Natalie was INV most of the time. In China, Todd, Amanda, and Courtney were major characters by now... Denise was just coming out of her shell. Randy and Marcus have gotten good edits by now. Charlie hasn't really. Corinne is coming out of her shell but an edit hasn't been there really. Is it possible, then, that the onion alliance goes the route of the Rotu 4, and perhaps Marcus wins immunity like Kelly all the way to the F2 (or F3?) |

F4 has been littered with the likes of Lydia, Jenn, Darrah, etc. No problem there.
