This is a cast of people who are dedicated to being the best in their field. I am so sick of reality shows which appeal to the, "even you at home could do this if you just try!" It's insulting to people who have schooled, studied and learned. And I love that they're judged on the meal they prepare for that challenge only. We all know you can cook, but what did you cook TODAY? The contestants actually support each other rather than sabotaging in the name of a game. It's so grown up. Love this show... and go Stefan, you arrogant asshole. Not so much in season 2. One of the chefs was sabotaged, bullied and physically assaulted. Production tried to edit the assault to look like a prank between friends, but they got caught by the viewers (due to sloppy editing.)

I predicted Carla would win the car. actually I was joking when I made that prediction because we all know the car is the kiss of death. and something that dawned on me last night, when we were all talking about "foreshadowing", there has been no talk this season of a woman winning this season. last season, it was all about being the first female winner. no one has talked about carrying on the tradition. SO. since my fabio is gone (sniff), and Carla got the car, it's the first euro for the win. go Stefan! (you little hot baldie)

OK Stephan is RESTING on his laurels..."I'm not going home over gumbo!" WTF you can't make a real gumbo in an hour. YOU CAN NOT rush the ROUX! and using stock sausage. Why wasn't he called out on that? I think his over confidence is going to be his downfall.... he won't give hose and carla the respect they deserve at this point. He's been in the bottom twice now...if he doesn't take it seriously the Tourtoise could pull it out. NOT a hose fan...but he did gumbo right. he said he read up on creole cooking etc. so kudos to him. CARLA CARLA CARLA... was so not a fan in the begining, thought she was way over her head....she stepped back and took stock and decided to go her way...simple and good food. It has paid off in ACES. I guess putting the love in the food is that extra step worth doing afterall! SO... I think now, that STEFAN is being set up for the fall. (2 eps ago I was sure he was the winner) the Tourtoise and Hare... Stefan started out SOOO strong winning winning winning...but now he's coasting, he has the prize in site. BUT...he forgot to look behind andsee who is now right there nipping at his heals, the tourtoise...slow and steady wins the race... work hard and just produce good food. Carla is gonna take it.

Just put him or her back in and move on with the challenges. Poor thinking, that.

They brought back the two contestants who had been booted that won a challenge. If they didn't win the next challenge, they were out again. I'm actually OK with that scenario. I like it more, at least, than just letting someone come back that was already booted. I agree with the idea of "prove that you're better than those that weren't eliminated."

And Bravo's got a few more that are really really good too As for Season 2 - take it with a grain of salt. Marcel was a snivelling little snot and had been asking for not only what "got" (it wasn't assault, but he ran off like a little crybaby so it was turned into something it wasn't), but a lot worse, all season long But yeah - not only are the cheftestants first rate, but the level of guest judges they bring on are a wow too. You're going to really enjoy it

Hosea keeps saying, "Stefan is the one to beat. I just have to take down Stefan. Oh, that Stefan is so cocky." And then we get Carla with her "They are underestimating me. I'm the tortoise. I can totally see the two men wrestling in the dirt, playing mind games with each other, egging each other on -- and Carlo out of their sight just doing her little focused thang -- cooking good food with love. I think the "Stefan, your food is soulless" would support the "Carla, your food has love" judgment. But then again, they said Hung's food had no soul, and he won. I dunno! I lurv me some Carla, but Stefan could win. (I think Hosea is getting too much the dirtbag edit to win. But then Ilan was a bit slimey and won.) Who knows. EEEEP!
