My niece was just here for a few weeks. We not only got her all the books, but we had to go to Forks to get them so they had these special stamps in them from
the drugstore there. At least I got to drag everyone out to Hoh to do some hiking.
The books aren't awful, but they aren't that good. It's no worse than all those Stuart Woods and James Patterson books my mom sends me... but with vampries and teen romance. |

I just finished the first book - quick read, and while angsty, not too bad.

I started a thing with my daughter and her friends. I bought the first one last May because I kept hearing about it being compared to Harry Potter. And
Stephanie Meyer as being the next J.K.R. After I read the first one, I asked my d if she wanted to read it. Reluctantly she decided to read it. She then passed
it to a friend, and another, and another. Kids whose parents couldn't get them to read the cereal box were now reading!! lol! Now it's all they talk
about. Team Edward this and that!
We had to go to the midnight party for book number 4 while on vaca this summer. She read that one in 3 days! She got the motion picture soundtrack CD last week (which is not bad, btw, love the new Linkin Park song on there!) All musicians that "inspired" the author while writing the novels. Anyway, I thought the books were ok, the last one a bit mature for the 12yo audience it's supposed to be for, 18 ok, but 12? What I DO like it that they got kids who HATE reading to actually read , AND be enthusiastic about it! |

I've read all four of them and they're not that bad. The movie looks like it might be kind of cheesy though, but who knows.

I asked my 14 yr old about it, he said it is for girls. ;) The movie looks cool though, but too old for my daughter so I will miss out on this one.

I read the first book last week in two days, got it cheap at Sam's Club. I have always enjoyed vamp fiction, but honestly these vampires aren't very
vampire. It is pretty much a romance novel for teens with a twist. My 10 year old thinks it is neat though.

My 13yo spoiled little beeotch daughter just hung up on me coz I told her our local theater has tix on sale
now. I *was* gonna tell her I can get the earliest tix for the Friday (21st) premier of the movie (immediately after school and my work) we'll have her
butthead dad drop her, her sis and a friend off at the theater and I'll go directly there after work to meet them.
She took a fit saying that she wanted to go to the Thursday 12:01 (midnight) premier. On a school night? 2 13yr olds, and a 9 yo and ME who ALL have to get up at 6:ish am. I don't think so. And besides what other parent is gonna let me keep their kid out til 2 am on a school night? I didn't get to even say THAT, she screamed at me and hung up. I called her back and said "then we won't go at all" and hung up. I'm sure we WILL, but on MY terms!! |

teenage vampire book series, written by a mormon So do the vampires only bite the gays? It's a good series. The books are addictive and steamy yet virginal. Think interview with the vampire as teenagers who don't have sex. Then what's the point?! You can't have a romance novel with no hot, steamy sex scenes. Interesting though... vampires that will eat flesh but not have sex before marriage. Umm... misplaced morals much? I might read the book anyways. It sounds kind of interesting and can't be worse than Harry Potter. |

SPOILERS:
He boinks her in the last book. she then grows a vampire human baby in her uterus, and edward has to bite it out adn then turns her into a vampire. the end. |
